This made me very comfortable in the best way possible, very good writing.
But sadly i really didn't like the message this story was trying to protray AT ALL.
Like "embrace uncertainty"? I would say thats a good advice but not in this absurd context
And i HATE how this comic portrays both of these characters as equally bad.
Like don't get be wrong; the mc is an awful person, but are we really comparing a fearful avoidant to a kidnapping obsessive rapist? Lets be fr rn
Its obvious the mc just got broken into fully depending on his abuser, the guy was literally psychologically and physically totured it only natural.
The art was insanely good and the way the villain is draw is just so so good, like everytime i saw his emotionless expression i got chills fr.
Tbh the way this story was progressing i thought the mc has done like insanely awful shit to the villain to deserve all this abuse, i was actually shocked to learn he just became obsessed after being ignored for a week.
Its actually so sad bcuz this whole thing between these character's younger selves could've been easily resolved if they just communicated, if one of them just went to the other and just TALKED.
Its very unfortunate and ugh how depressing it was to see the mc's imagination of what their life could've been like if their love story just progressed normally, if THEY were normal.
It was genuinely a stab to the chest
And omg the fanart at the end was so good toooo

Like gang WE GET IT, you love rape you find it hot no need to push it in our face have you maybe considered therpay? Or maybe a psych ward? Or maybe resigning from writing all together?
The rape in these chapters was NOT necessary twin, you could've just shown him beating him up then it wouldve made sense him hurrying him out to a hospital
i HATE let me repeat HAAATTEE when authors show rapists as these compassionate empathetic characters AFTER they abuse the victim

- AND SECOND a lazy dumb writer whos only plotpoint is rape.

I want to clarify, putting rape in stories isn't always "bad".
Its a real thing that sadly happened to many ppl, its there in GOOD stories to bring awareness and make a rape victim feel seen, heard, and understood.
I personally don't find it needed to show the rape happening in full, but it can be written in a way to scare the reader and have them have a reaction to this disgusting crime.
Its important to use rape as something that happens to character and it WILL be discussed and WILL be handled. NOT just another thing that happened to this story (a comic that does this beautifully imo is OUROBOROS)
and not to mention that said victim is almost always gonna end up with their abuser which i can't BELIEVE have became such a norm in the bl community :/

From all the zombie movies and shows I’ve watched, that leniency of a different punishment such as imprisonment or banishment would just result in that person biting the main characters in the ass later. Either the person would escape prison or come back for revenge lmao. I seen too many scenes where the main characters and multiple characters get killed cause of that softness
But the average person who gets whipped/imprisoned after they do something everyone is frowning upon would actually result in them simmering down (especially in a zombie apocalypse context)
Not every person is avenge able and especially not a man with a child he's trying to stay by and protect
Like im trying to put myself in his shoes and if i had a child in that town id take the whip/imprisonment as quietly as possible just so i can get back to my child and slowly get the town folk to trust me again yk?

I got my hopes up thinking the mc was moving on only for them to give us the "hes never gonna move on" shit
VICTIMS DO MOVE ON, AND IF YOU ARE A VICTIM IT GETS BETTER.
It takes time and effort and the help of loved ones and professionals, take me for example; it took me years to move on from my abuser even after i was basically abandoned by all of support circles. It took time and effort and alot of mishaps but it happened, so don't lose hope.
This shitty stories that always chooses the easy route of pairing the abuser with the victim, instead of putting in the effort of writing a character realize how gaslighted and basically brainwashed they became.
It just show youre a lazy writer who cant handle actual fleshed out characters.
