It’s an interesting premise, but I can’t quite get into it that well. Ebony’s “Raven” clothes also pull me out of the story occasionally since I find them to be a lot like a tacky low quality Halloween costume, and it’s a bit hard to take her and people’s reactions to her seriously when she’s wearing them. I’ll probably wait for more chapters before binge reading it again.
Really, I think the clothes are kinda cool. But my fashion sense is not the best. Though, I think the they are supposed to be custome-like, to make her stand out. She basically putting on a show. That's how I saw it. (⌒▽⌒)

i think her clothes are suppose to be weird, unusual or avant garde. To ensure that no one can guess her origin of location or to simply make her look as foreign as possible.
The setting is pretty interesting, but somehow I can’t fully immerse myself into the story. Jackal(?) being a doormat/ pushover, and the characters being kind of dumb frustrates me a lot. I also don’t understand why no one does anything, and the leads keep letting the red hair dude do whatever he wants, denying he has anything to do with things. It was also pretty obvious to me that the assassin girl was with him/ he had something to do with her after the sewer incident. Like, how could she have already escaped into the desert in such a short time(+ the streets were full of people and guards that knew of the sewer situation)? And red hair dude, who isn’t even part of the squad just appears exactly where the incident was in such short notice already aware of everything, claiming the girl had escaped? And the Mc just believes it?
I’m dropping this for now, I might give it another try once there are more chapters.
Yess. You just described EXACTLY how I felt. I somewhat can't immerse myself in this. At one point I started skipping through some lines and panels looking for smth interesting to happen but..(￣∇￣") I thought her being a "genie" would be cool but a floating ball that does nothing besides being used as a lamp and lightly electrocuting ppl isn't really..what I excepted (￣∇￣") ALSO the thing you said about being annoyed with the leads letting red guy do whatever he wants is ON POINT. I MEAN, c'mon its not THAT hard to figure out whats happening (〜￣△￣)〜

The uke was so god damn f*cking cute. I can’t even... I kept unintentionally grinning whenever he appeared to the point of my cheeks hurting. I loved his friends too, they were really nice and supportive. They also didn’t seem like stereotypical, one dimensional, throw away side characters like most “close” friends in yaoi. Like, you could FEEL the friendship between them, they had good chemistry.
