I don’t understand why authors add in dubious consent/rape when it doesn’t even fit the character. Like the character will already be established and built up and then randomly in one or two panels we’re hit with rape? Like it doesn’t fit the character at all especially when after it happens within the next panel we’re back to the original set character almost as if nothing had happened leaving me in confusion because why was it added in the first place. I under in some stories because afterwards it actually effects the storyline but here it was so random especially with how they both went too their original character afterwards it left me with nothing but confusion.
Honestly the story is suprisingly good I have been enjoying it way more then I thought I would. It was just that one part I think it was ch10 for two or three panels that was so unnecessary and confusing that it brought it down from maybe a enjoyable short 5star for me to 4 to be honest. I wouldn’t say I don’t recommend because I really have enjoyed it but I would say just skip that one part if it is too much for you.
I have read stories with dubious consent before but this one left me with so much confusion because it felt like the author just threw that in there because they didn’t know what to do or they thought they needed a shock factor. My thing is it doesn’t fit his character he’s not one of those crazy ones that was locking her up and with a red flag attitude like in other stories. It happened and then they both acted like nothing happened they went back to talking like they usually do beforehand.Which left me so confused I went back to read it thinking I missed something.

It’s interesting kinda fast paced but not bad at all. I like that the other prince really didn’t want the throne and just wanted to live with his commoner lover. The way he went about breaking his engagement was wrong but I’m not gonna lie I felt just a smidge sorry for him when we learn about his life in the palace.
Next love how our MC is strong in her own right. She didn’t get intimidated by the Dowager and instead held her ground. She may not have thought it all the way through when she jumped out the window but nevertheless I was still proud. Lmao!
Also we already knew our MC’s parents weren’t shit but usually they treat the heir a little better but they basically abandoned him also. Like I know her mother wants to care for her husband but I feel like the kids for them have always been put on the back burner. I do hope Sergei hurry’s up and tells his mistress that he’s in love with her. I lowkey want to see it.
I will say seeing how the ML’s other marriages went and ended was interesting because WTH my boy went through it. Like one went crazy from the indoctrine from the church and stabbed him, another had a previous lover and tried to run away with them, and the last one called him a demon for having red eyes even though she had already cheated with a MARRIED man and was pregnant. I do wonder though the wives he was able to save by giving them new identities do they ever think about the favor he showed them especially the second wife since he helped her and her lover escape to another country.

That the prince ran off I couldn’t do anything but laugh because it really just proved if it wasn’t apparent before that he’s really the only competent member of the royal family other than the Dowager and that’s ridiculous! Funny thing I did not pay attention to the tags when I decided to read this and was quite surprised when I was hit with smut lol.
I know they didn’t really go into details but I kept wondering was it fully consensual with the prince getting the mc’s sister pregnant.
First they don’t even seem to like each other or get along tbh. Second sometimes he looked scared of her and especially his mother. The boy was having panic attacks in class and was all jumpy and sweaty when his mother came near him or was mentioned.
So I was wondering was he forced into having sexual intercourse with his fiancée by his mother. I could definitely see the queen talking to his fiancée and they both come to an agreement since they both wanted power. Either way that is another form of coercion over the fiancée since the queen is someone in power herself.
I don’t know but I just kept thinking about it and with the prince’s personality it’s hard to believe he just willingly had relations with his fiancée when he already looked scared of her and didn’t exactly want the engagement in the first place. Also with his mother’s weird ass personality I could see her setting something up like this especially since she knew the girl was pregnant. Just my thoughts what do you guys think.
