A new artist picked up the manhwa and continued where it stopped but it is so bad compared to the original

It's bad in a way I don't know how to explain, the style is godd but the drawing is bad.

I really hate the genitals, they look... off. Lightsabers would be better. Also the eyes! Why sclera is the color of the skin? Looks freaky.

no i get you. the proportions are good but the facial expressions and movements are stiff. in the latest chapter, you can put their faces in a completely different scenario and you can't even tell they're fucking and feeling good. in fact, put all the faces they make when they're scared, angry, being sarcastic, etc side by side and the differences can be counted on one hand. the artist is conservative with shading and coloring, resulting in a bland palette rather than utilizing the dark environment for harsh shadows and stark contrasts. rarely are there dynamic poses, interesting angles, or clever paneling. other than the main characters and the killer, the other characters are uninspired in their design, and I've given up on differentiating them or even caring about them. the artist relies on realism as a crutch, forgetting that there's so much more you can do with such an interesting plot, environment, and characters.

i like this bl and I've been at the edge of my seat waiting for this season. but all in all, I've seen better creative direction with more understated art styles.

2 examples of better creative direction and style i can give are mr. 100% perfect and fuckpect buddy. the first one is more understated with less detailed rendering, but the author's use of colors in emotionally heightened scenes is exceptional in its simplicity. fuckpect buddy is a goldmine of dynamic poses and expressive facials, and there's an obvious flow that carries you from one panel to the next. both works have use colors, shapes, and textures to differentiate between characters, and establish consistent patterns for each one to follow so that if all of them exhibit the same emotions or perform the same activity, you can clearly distinguish between them. dreadful night however needs more work in that department.
