I'm assuming that the author wanted to deliver something disturbing; and to that I should say that they were successful. I am in fact disturbed. I understand the low ratings, but I'm not mad with the plot. There is something unique about their miscommunications. It's different from other stories. Unlike other yaoi, they don't have miscommunication because of their stupidity, they do it willingly.

It's not 0 development, the story is unfolding little by little. And it's been quite enjoyable so far.
Just the fact that they're not all lovey dovey doesn't mean they aren't maturing as a couple.
I understand that some people might not be as patient as others, but they can simply stick with reading completed stories. Or even ongoing stuff that have faster pacing like BWAT works.
Me personally, I like to read the slow paced stuff AND fast paced stuff at the same time to balance everything out.
