no it's not, but i've seen the spoilers from the novel, and that's exactly what happened.

Eh I get what you’re saying but personally I believe SA is unjustifiable no matter the circumstances. Not as revenge or any other reason. They’re both fked up terrible ppl, no one’s better than the other.

but that's such nonsense? his revenge is accurately warranted, and I don't think he's in the wrong for it. don't you believe in an eye for an eye? surely I would say that if Jiwook were innocent, but he's not. Juyeon was a child.

I believe in eye for an eye but not in the case of rape I of course feel terrible for what Juyeon went through as a kid but there are so many other ways to get at revenge rather than.. this

Jiwook GANGRAPED juyeon when they were children, then he FILMED juyeon getting gangraped, and spread the video everywhere, and left juyeon with no one to fall back on. After a while, Jiwook loses his memory in an accident and forgets what he did to Juyeon (this is why he doesn’t know why juyeon is doing all of this to him) so we are in the present now, where Jiwook still doesn’t know what he did back then. But eventually he does remember (we arent there yet though. also I apologize, I do not have the link to the novel)

that’s a strange way of thinking if i’ve ever seen one. to each their own I guess. why do you suddenly clutch your pearls when rape is in the picture? an eye for an eye is exactly that in this case. genuinely im curious

I think it’s because a lot of the readers haven’t seen his perspective that they can’t empathize with Juyeon even though they are aware of what Jiwook did. I have a feeling when the backstory stuff starts coming up people are going to switch it up because then the audience will be confronted with Juyeon’s pain and the entire ordeal from his perspective. It’s easy for folks who haven’t read the novel to say “well Juyeon went too far!!” But Lee Geumsan is the GOAT at depicting emotions. Juyeon’s arc is gonna be vindicating as shit.

Yknow I think I do see where your coming from and from a fictional perspective I do think that there is some sort of warrant in his actions but in a realistic viewpoint I think that it would be unacceptable either way. (I know the story is fictional so I don’t really care abt what happens but anyways) Rape is just fking messed up and I think my personal experiences in life are prob why I have these beliefs. I genuinely just don’t get why rape is the solution. I would rather he killed him or tortured him in another way I hate both of their actions but again I do get what you’re saying too

No matter what, I find it dire to always side with the victim in any case, especially in real life. only the victim knows what will soothe their scars, & if this were real life, I would say Jiwook especially deserved it, & death would be too easy for someone like him.

No of course, this was actually a very insightful convo for me. I appreciate the way you feel about siding with the victims and I do agree death would be too easy for him. In the end they both need some serious intensive therapy and jiwook should’ve gone to jail for his actions. Unfortunately in both their world and this one, justice against SAers is almost never properly given
