The whole plot is garbage. From the dumb young master allowing his piece of shit crush to crawl his way back into his life after how poorly he treated and abused him. To an older brother who deeply wronged his younger brother and now suffers being raped and blackmailed by a half brother who is the spawn of human waste. The plot is utter garbage.
I really don’t understand what the author has the Ulysses and Randolph side story. You know it’s fan service at its peak for its straight cis female readers when Ulysses’s harem of men who we learned he acquired out of sport through your standard manipulation and underhanded methods that when a stereotypical masculine presenting dominate characters displays readers call foul but when a femme character does it- further playing into the very real stereotypes of “dangerous predatory” gay language surrounding men unable to hide their more obvious sexual inclination- it’s seen as a great achievement to be celebrated. Worse Ulysses has actually physically and sexually assaulted Randolph an act that got a previous shitty blond king assassinated for his harem of sexually dominated playthings subjected to regularly. It’s ironic that Ulysses is a direct juxtaposition to the Demonic king but he gets his own side story and is celebrated for it. It’s gross but ultimately is so expected why am I even bothering myself, but I do want to point out to readers that this subplot is just as problematic as the main story we so angrily sided with in hope for a predator’s demise, but here is celebrated.
This bonus backstory doesn’t actually make Taewoon better it just means he was too much of a coward to actually properly face yusung in “being there”. I understand it’s a reality of thoughts and feelings going unsaid and being misconstrued but rather it seems Taewoon didn’t want to be bothered with the reality of his importance to Yusung and left him to the wolves. It’s honestly sad more than anything else and makes me want Yusung even more not to end up with him during his second chance at life. Yusung should be happy with someone who openly loves and cares for him not someone whose roundabout indecisions literally cost him his life(happiness).
Nothing against sex workers but why do authors continue to always have a virgin x call boy as a legitimate pairing? No virgin is going to feel comfortable having a first time partner who regularly engages in sex so casually and no sex worker is going to give up their job for a partner so romantically inexperienced they are unsure in their comfort and boundaries within the relationship. It’s a trope that is so absurd in its lack in realism.
Not to mention how shitty the experience was for the virginal MC he literally paid someone to fulfill his fantasy and this man did absolutely nothing his client asked only got off the way HE wanted to. There’s no way he’d be a good romantic partner when he can’t even do his actual job of satisfying his client properly.

Honestly with how deep and truly terrible an experience Tou went through to have this chapter were his trauma was just told to shizuka without his permission, to then later reveal said trauma later on only to end with so now let’s have sex that’s the cure to overcoming lingering trauma…. I’m just at a loss for words how horribly this was handled and someone actually wrote this. I’m actually disgusted.

I don’t know if it’s the translation but the dialogue or rather I should say Mc’s thought process doesn’t make any sense nor does it ever seem to make sense. He tends to just make entire scenarios in his head that come across as ridiculous, maybe it’s intrusive thoughts because of this unpredicted situation he finds himself him, but he just seems to lack sense half the time.
I think it’s because the translation is not good, so I think that’s why the dialogue seems off
