I have SO much to say. It's important that we remember that this is based off of ancient Egyptian mythology and so most of this falls in line with that. Obviously I get a bit of a ick when Horus calls Seth uncle but in ancient Egyptian incest was super common. Like EVERYONE was getting with family members and this transferred into ACTUAL Egyptian royalty as well. It was most common between siblings. Obviously this is gross but if the author wanted it to stay accurate to the myth obviously the gods have to be family. Ok aswell, Seth is not a great guy. I love him to bits but he killed tons of women and children because they reminded him of his wife and son. That's batshit crazy. He ALSO tried to rape Horus. In ancient Egypt rape was seen as a power strategy which is one of the reasons Seth does it. I think in the actual myth Seth raped Horus but Horus fed Seth his (jizz)????? Girl idk. Either way although that bit was WEIRD it was true to the myth. Obviously I'm not justifying rape I'm just trying to say why this story has SO MUCH of it going on. Also you shouldn't hate on people for dropping it because of any of these themes... Incest,rape, etc because those things are gross and a completely understandable reason for dropping it even though there ARE reasons behind why the story includes those things.
