Kenji is new to these things. after his past relationship that shook him, and it looks like he himself has yet to grasp everything yet. If anything i applaud his development here. There's a chance he might return to being the same ass as he was before in the future chapters but cmon, change in a person happens gradually. You can't expect him to be 90% dere dere at once.

-No, definitely not. and you won't find me saying "it's ok" to be an ass. Possibly it's my positive vibe that made you misinterpret my point. Why I'm positive about this is because of the possibility that he could really change to be a good version of himself someday. :)

-oh no, no, i never said it's ok because he had such a past. My point here is to try to understand where he's coming from and to appreciate the progress he made. he is an ass. sure, but i will not be the same ass who would consider him a lost cause especially not when i see hope in him to be good. Considering how he was in the previous chapters, him recognizing Yoshito's importance is a huge step and while that may be small for others, to him it's "new" therefore it's a big development. Don't get me wrong, if Kenji happens to be right in front of me and he goes on a fit, i will not hesitate to reprimand him myself. But because i -at some level- have an understanding oh him, i will be less overcame by emotions because if i ever were godknows what shit i could have done that could make everything worse.

-Thank you for providing a scenario where I can further prove my point. First of all, it is obviously not ok if your gf is abusive, based on your example. Would you rather be the same ass as she is then? If I were in your shoes then I wouldn't, because i love my gf, so I'll try to understand her. Understanding does not mean to completely tolerate the abuse to the point where you'd just surrender and take it all. Understanding will provide me a more rational mindset so you can deal with the situation better. Because i love her, i want her to change for herself. I can guide her to understand herself better too and once she has, she'll have more idea on how to change herself. To alter the 'effect', you must find the 'root' first, right?
