Yes! I have thought this for a while now. It seems like he has a hard time building connections with others and so far Jaeyoung has been the only one he has actually gotten close with. Before, he believed that romantic desire only occurs for the purpose of producing offspring, and since he has a hard time building connections and has never had any desires for someone, it only makes sense that this would be a situation he cannot fully grasp at the moment.
