Riftan, even though I love the guy and love how he’s protective of his adorbs wife. I want to see her grow. I wanna see how she’s grown in her studies and Magic and he should give her the chance to see that for himself. I understand his want to keep her safe from all this evil and would def be able supremely worried of her — which is valid. But he needs to let her grow.
I am honestly getting annoyed with people scrutinizing Riftan and then bad mouth him for his lack of experience in relationships when they ignore Maxi’s own flaws as well.
It’s like people expect them to have conversations on what’s on their mind instead of accidentally avoiding them. Riftan is a man who cares for his people, his land, he grew up as someone who didn’t really see such sentiments of couples being so close open to each other as I’m sure he barely did that in his times of fighting. So this is just as new to him as it is for Maxi. It’s just — complicated.
People expect so much when they should’ve known that their relationship wouldn’t be so perfect. Idk, just gets on my nerves that they talk bad of Riftan when they don’t truly understand him and his personality as well as to why he’s like that. As for Maxi, I see y’all talking about how Riftan doesn’t talk, treats Maxi as if she’s fragile and doesn’t fully talk with her ind weeper levels when she’s over here still feeling jealous about the princess and his ‘closeness’ when he clearly stated it would never be like that. The thing is — she is fragile over all due to her experiences and her body. Though, she should try harder to grow stronger and she is.
Overall, just drop this if you say it’s making your blood boil because that ain’t good. Go read something else that you’d like. Just stop constantly complaining about something these characters can’t help but do.
I think it's pretty understandable if it makes their blood boil. What makes a webtoon good is if it pulls in emotions. I'm also annoyed. And Maxi is already talking but he keeps cutting her off. Mind you, it continues like that in the novel until 200 plus chapters. It's a cycle. Maxi misunderstanding. Riftan trying to stop her from helping as a mage due to his overprotectiveness. But that overprotectiveness causes Maxi to doubt her abilities. This is why TRUST is a foundation in love. And they are slowly building it. There will be a time they will stand as equal couple no worries.

I was here for the first chapter when it came out, and I’m here until the very end. This manga is such a guilty pleasure for a lot of people — and for me included. I can’t wait to see this till the end.
