The story is rushed especially toward the second half, but I really like it. I honestly don't consider it incest, even if she said she loved him like a brother he never felt that way about her. I think he fell for her while they were still children. Even though she thought of him as a little brother there was at least one scene that proves she was aware of him as a man (the dance part). I just wish there'd been more but oh well, its refreshing from all the villainess/otome game books because they're all so similar after reading the first five or so.
86 chapters in and yeah this is cute. It runs a bit slow but some of the character reactions are hilarious. If I didn't know she was an experienced adult I'd be looking at Lippe as a Mary Sue, but that isn't even my problem. The amount of boys growing interest in a young child bothers me just a little. They're all cute kids, yeah, but then some scenes look like they'd be more at place in a romance manhwa and I have to remember that she's 5 with the others significantly older (or younger, taking into account her real age) and it squicks me out a bit.
So wow, this story is really slow, its practically crawling. The best part is that most of it is still fun but some parts feel draggy. I don't know how long it took for the ml to first show up, but I didn't get their back story until ch99. If not for the spoilers I might not have known who it was, but now that I see the cover I feel dumb. I mean it was obvious before but that practically confirms it.
Chapters are so short too so I think I'll wait for them to pile up and binge read it. It's a great story!
Am I the only one who didn't get Masaomi being jealous that she loved the old him? He's literally the same person. Older and self made but still the same person. Why was that ever a problem.

I remember that one, but the ml was already screwed in the head and kinda yandere so it was hilarious but not as big of a surprise. I also feel like he was partly joking to mess with her.
Ngl masaomi is totally like my boyfriend, we had a convo about cloning and he said it would be cool but his clone wouldn’t be allowed to hold me the way he does and if he did he’d get jealous. We also liked each other years before we got together as we both thought the other was out of our league
nooo i get it tbh; she is/was so in love with "Azai" but masaomi isn't that Azai anymore. Years have passed and he has changed and thus believes he's not worth her love anymore since he's different than when he was younger. he also might be afraid to disappoint her that he is not like he used to be anymore. even though "Azai" and "Masaomi Kazato" are the same person, to him himself azai is the butler and kazato the businessman which makes the biggest difference between them.
Just read through the whole thing on webtoon. Its not perfect but few stories are. It took me half a day but I got through all the chapters with only a little skimming. If I remember to check back, I wouldn't mind reading season 2. The characters grow on you but I have no idea where this plot is supposed to go.
The pacing is so off and the art is odd at places. Still cute though.
Yeah, this whole story seems slow and super complicated. I'm really weak to angst so I think I'll stick to reading the spoilers. I only got through a few chapters in the middle and skipped toward the final chapter and I want to cry for several of these characters.
I have so many problems with this story already.
The emperor didn't want to get married, he was forced to. From the way he treats his own brother he's clearly a workaholic who lacks personal relationships, I'd like to know how he was raised and if he's had interactions with women before or not because he has no idea how to relate to his wife and is moved by something as simple as holding her hand. I don't see him as an asshole but an awkward person that clearly has no idea what married life is supposed to be like but got married under harsh conditions so people would stop bothering him about it. I have nothing against him, I'd just like to see proper character development there.
The mc's attitude however bothers me. She is so stuck on the novel plot, every iseka/reincarnation/rebirth story is like this. She's smart, so shouldn't she know that her simply knowing the storyline and little things changing from the original plot meant everything will be different? I've yet to see an isekai story where the mc made changes and wasn't surprised when things didn't go according to the original novel. There's isn't exactly a script to follow since novels only mention main events, so having that knowledge is enough to change things, unless its a rebirth novel and they do everything the exact same.
And lastly, I don't know what to think about Mia but that governor is so sus. But he's one point I really can't stop thinking about. Leana knew he didn't appear in the original novel and didn't for a second think the story might have changed from there already. If in her past life she'd been reading the same isekai stories, shouldn't she have figured something was strange? Plus her family should already have money and she claims to be bored in the palace, would it not have made more sense to ignore the engagement to the emperor and do so something else with her life? Like look for a rich husband she can grow close to?
I just don't understand this story so I skipped most of it and went to the final chapter. I don't think I missed much of the story. I might not continue reading this because it's too confusing to me. It would depend on how bored I am.
I feel the same way about all of these isekai mangas. Obviously if you knew something was going to happen and you change it the outcome would be different. This is common sense. The fact that authors use the same scenario in every manga is simply lack of creativity.
Leana also had no need to marry the emperor at all. Even her father disagreed with the marriage. She is simply greedy and stupid. Like you said, she could have easily found another marriage with a rich man with a high status. Yet she chose to live the same life just a little differently. I understand a bit when the protagonist is looking for revenge, but she just wants to live a comfortable life.
Well there are a lot of problems with the story, but I still read it. Mostly out of boredom.
I feel like the author had her agree to the marriage because there was no other way the main leads would have gotten together without this, but at least make the mc's reasoning make sense. I've read similar stories where the mc puts herself back in the same situation, but at least they had a better plan.
I skipped over 20 chapters and still got the gist of the story. I'd like to read the next chapter because it looks like she's at least willing to give the emperor a chance, because the relationship didn't look like it was going anywhere honestly.
I totally agree with the point about her choosing the Emperor to marry. Makes zero sense, given her family situation. Although, I feel the need to defend the FL. I agree with you that she should understand that when you make changes to the story, obviously the outcome is different. The butterfly effect and whatnot. I feel like she is trying her best to stick to the story since it is something she is familiar with. It is not an understatement to say that her life is danger. With her knowing and sticking to the plot, she can survive. She was even ready to accept that the storyline has changed and she could be with the Emperor and then she almost got killed. So she, like any other person, panicked. So i do not blame her for sticking closely to the story or trying to make the story come true. She is doing it out of self preservation. She would rather know what is going to happen versus not knowing at all. I agree it has gotten to a point where there is no going back so she will be forced to accept the different story line and i think by this point she has. SO dont be so mean to my girl. She just wants to live her life without getting an arrow in the back.

yesss I’m starting to question how smart leana is Ik she’s smart but maybe dense was the word I was looking for like she’s read the story before so I jus don’t understand why she still hasn’t figured out that by her knowing what will happen changes it and she acts so damn suprised when something that wasn’t in the story is there it’s kinda annoying like I’m not as smart as her but even I can figure out that me knowing what happens changes stuff ts is making me frustrated like she’s so so so smart but dense and is obsessed with living a normal life
And if she wanted a quiet peaceful life she should have just canceled the marriage at first but she didn’t and also if she really wanted a peaceful life she should have chosen not to get involved with Mia because is Mia is the main character of the novel then drama follows her around her choices make no damn sense if she really wanted a peaceful life then she should have stayed far away from the emperor and Mia from the very begging before she got into that marriage

The art is nice, but some of the guys faces and especially the profiles... its questionable. I keep wondering what's wrong with everyone's neck, why do the necks look larger than their heads.
