As a novel reader I’m glad tbh but at the same time omg I didn’t realize he was kept housed for months? I could’ve swore it was just a few weeks in the novel…
But damn I’ve re-read it a lot but it still hurts

i wonder if next chap we’ll get ido doing the same thing as the cover (holding sejin) or if it’d be too painful…

Plus I was legit scared this entire chapter it just wouldn’t end I think it was one of the longest chapters of the season
I wish they changed the covers here for the new season it’s so poetic and beautiful
Also when Sejin said he died when Ido marked him
it truly was such a long chapter!!!

i’ve been rereading bits from the beginning and omfggg the things you catch from ido, like the things he has done differently in the 2nd life compared to the 1st is mind blowing. i absolutely looove it!!
he definitely changed his ways a LOTT but damn he really made life hell for sejin in that 1st life..
not sure any amount of groveling could make up for what he did
Oh most definitely I think a lot of his gestures and intentions screamed guilt imo but as he rekindled with Sejin and was able to bring out new sides in their relationship he started really feeling love.. but then Sejin’s insomnia and his past actions kinda triggered him.. like from the positioning of guards to protect Sejin from his bro, to even bulldozing barriers he may have had with his work endeavors..
Sejin in an earlier chapter I think 65-68 said that he hopes that under all the negative and depressing circumstances that he and Ido may have with respect to one another he hopes that at the end of it all there’s a remanence of happiness
I do love how Sejin carries himself after this part so I can’t wait to see it illustrated and animated with color and devotion.
So he definitely had intentions to betray her from the beginning it seems
He probably felt stifled by their power dynamic

The writing in this is so unserious
He never even had a monologue on the dilemma between accepting his feelings or his mother’s unjust death lol
In the early chapters (ch 12) there’s a scene where Hakyung is seen pummeling a guy and then the secretary who’s a double agent remarks that’s he using the guy as an outlet.. the guy also kinda looked lanky and timid like Yigon..
I wonder what other weird things Hakyung does or will do
