Really? I get he’s supposed to be a medieval king and what not (with his wanton disregard for other species) but making a misogynistic joke the pivot of the chapter during today’s times feels so icky to me
I still love the story and want to see how it develops on the screen as opposed to novel but my man can you stop role playing as a king for one second and remember you’re originally a native from this world as well lol
(⊙…⊙ )

No, in the old medieval days during the expansion of western colonialism (the Western European countries in particular) sailors and ship builders spewed nonsensical propaganda that women would bring and harbor bad luck on voyages and that the voyage would fail and their journey a blunder but that’s just bullshit! Those men couldn’t contain their unruly nature

Heeso and Taekyung just don’t have a relationship based on love or intentional affection..
It’s wholly obsession or out of guilt and even in the light of further developments both have centralized ideas of what they want and what they must have so it’s not going to end pretty..
Furthermore, as the ADULT, I know Taekyung had to choose his comfort (siding with his murderer of a mother) over Heeso’s puppy misguided love but him engaging with Heeso is just going to give him thorns instead of roses.
As for Heeso, sweetie you need space and a better environment without Taekyung’s guilt pushing and pulling you.. You’re in need of serious assistance and that doesn’t have to be love or a relationship.
While I do think they love each other in their own way, it’s not what we’re used to or accepted of.
I’m so excited for s2 and I can’t wait for more angst :,)
I understand and can perceive the way Leeseop feels romantically about Minkyung. He feels average around her as she excels in almost everything she does whether mundane or not. He sees her beauty in her everyday expressions. And he even enjoys bantering with her about work and the like, something he used to do only out of duty.
I just can’t wrap my head around how Minkyung feels about him besides that she finds him charming, a great worker who shoulders responsibilities that aren’t his (his father corruption case) but beyond that I don’t see anything tying him to her romantically. It sort of feels unfinished and surface level. I’m hoping they build upon that before they start dating or seeing each other otherwise the illusion will shatter for me imo
He’s so hot though (▰˘◡˘▰)
