Honestly, I can't stand the ER genre. But they are so good, and they have been struggling for so long to achieve their happiness, that I bless them with all my being.

Zuros July 5, 2025 11:36 pm

oh my... let me hug you.

Zuros July 5, 2025 4:58 pm

Man, I'm kinda pissed off with the mind games we're seeing here. One minute dude's all into him, next he's head over heels, then he decides it wasn't love at all, just fear.

Bro, it's not the fucking end of the world to admit you fell for the wrong person. Because — holy fucking shit — Teach DEFINITELY had some serious romantic and physical chemistry going on.

It's fine to despise yourself for that, fine to hate Guwon after what went down.

But all this "oh, I was never romantically interested, nah, that was just survival ibstinct"... OH COME ONNNN

ugh

...don't mind me, I'm just bummed it all went so damn sideways, and there is no chance for happy ending romance here. *sighs* anyway, I'm still in and I like it ALOT, just venting a little bit.

Zuros July 5, 2025 4:46 pm

Alright then, maybe this'll be an unpopular opinion. So, let's say you don't like how things are run where you are. But hello, remember that security, resource gathering, all that crap? It exists thanks to Guwon and his hounds.

So seriously, what the hell's the point of staging a coup if you can just get the hell out? Come on, go try and build your own working system from scratch.

Or find yourself a spot that's better.

But nooo, we're literally gonna pull a palace coup. Yeah, I think that's mind-bogglingly idiotic. You know the saying, 'When in Rome...' Right?

    MamaRead July 5, 2025 4:48 pm

Not an unpopular opinion … if they don’t like it maybe they should try to leave but all the zombies out there and resources are limited

    Roron July 5, 2025 4:56 pm

I love your comment. Exactly as said. Morality is nothing and supposed to be let go of after apocalypse or during apocalypse. The one standing and making you survive is your own principle. That's how it's supposed to be. It's so stupid to stage a coup for the sake of bent justice inside those walls when survival is guaranteed. You hate the system and could never be changed but it work for many, leave. Peace was dead the moment undead rules and roams.

    ThatAintMeFellas July 5, 2025 4:58 pm

I get your point, but still, providing doesn't mean you have the right to take lives.
If someone breaks the rules they could just banish them, like you said, they leave, but they're instead publicly executed.
The brief hounds panels also show how they see the normal ppl there, I don't think they give them much worth. So I believe what she's saying is founded (still don't like where it's going tho).

You can provide the world's ressources to someone but if you strip them of their choices/ freedom, plus very strict and extreme punishment, a coup is boud to happen, and history can attest of that, even in extreme circumstances.

Understandable. But, in my opinion such statement matters when the world and their environment are field of undead that will kill, eat, or turn them into undead.

Banishment is correct though. I agree to that. That's better option than public execution. But then again. One person is still one mouth to feed.

Maybe my might be morality is twisted, as I think like this. But given the situation and their environment, I agree with Guwon and the hounds.

I'm totally on board with the exile. Yeah, the rules here suck.
Still — public execution is first and foremost a tool for control = showing others what'll happen if they do something.

And again, I in no way approve of that behavior or ruling through fear. But the dude knew what he was getting into. Breaking the rules—that was his choice to take the risk. And no way I want to knew what is it like to be on his place - choice between risk for his life or life of his kid.

I dunno, maybe I'm too simple-minded, but to me this looks like: 'Let's tear down the system that protects NOT JUST US, all because our sense of justice got bruised (even though you guys agreed to live in this city and knew its rules from the start [Doc said he warned everyone except Teach]).' To me, that's super hypocritical: Doc watched his whole family get slaughtered, and he still went to the city to survive. She watched a loved one get killed, and still went there to survive...

And they lived there all this time, perfectly content, reaping the benefits without a care, and NOW they suddenly decide to seek revenge? I just find that... uhhh... hypocritical again?

Um yeah for sure I see your point. I just, I seem to understand both the ppl's and guwon's standpoint, not really blaming him and the hounds, since they're the ones providing, but also can you blame the weak for trying to survive, trying to rebel for something that affects them. It's a pretty well written plot to get us sharing opinions on morality like this.
Can't wait for the next chapters.

Hypocritical, yeah for sure. But it's survival really.
A human will step on his values to survive, it's the natural reaction. But as soon as they're in somewhat safe space, they'll start thinking and planning how to get back. That's just how I see it imo.

But really great points tho. Time will tell how the plot will go. For me, I don't agree with guwon's methods but I see how he sees it's necessary, doesn't make it right tho, since there could be other ways to go through it.

I completely agree with everything here. Well, indeed, we will watch the developments and find out. In any case, thanks for the discussion!

Yeah, something weird's definitely going on in that dude's head. Then again, as someone with an anxious-ambivalent attachment style, I get that nothing healthy's happening up there. Well, guess we'll see where this all leads.
