I totally agree with Gyul. He's not being conniving. He's jusy being realistic. I would hate him if he's happy that Hyunho gave up being a pro because of him. Guys, love can't fed you. Only teenagers will be happy if someone gave up their dream to be with them, honestly. They still can't understand how the world works and just make decisions based on their emotions/feelings withoit using their heads.
If you really love some you'll let them grow, personally, career wise, etc. You can't shackle them, otherwise, that's being selfish. When love is true, distance is not even an issue.
Finally a voice of reason, even the friend said it to Hyunho. But most don’t seem to get that Gyul is actually doing the right thing and showing his concern for Hyunho’s future. That’s what makes them a balanced couple; Gyul is stern and has a vision for Hyunho and he wouldn’t want Hyunhu to have regrets later in life.
