come on my dude, the first red flag was that uncomfortable hug from the professor. no teacher should be putting their hands on you. the second flag is this sketchy ass invitation to go drinking? does he not have any sense of deception? from a mile away, this professor looks and smells like an opportunist.

Going out for drinks with professors and bosses, etc. is common in Korea. But it's usually done in groups or if you're working on a project together... He probably thought the professor wanted to cheer him up? Too innocent.
I know its common in sk but following that weird hug, it should have raised some kind of cautious response. perhaps inviting someone else to attend could have made the situation better. way too innocent and there are ppl like that, so its realistic

my god, this was a nice journey, very emotional and engaging. there was a clear theme and message but I really wanted a small romance plot. it didn't have to be a huge or even developed romance, just more subtle hints of them getting together and my heart would have been sold. this is a great story, do not misunderstand me, platonic male relationships are to be cherished. but i can't help wondering what if this was shounen ai. gahhhh it would have been a griping love story!!!
