The problem isn't that this story is too long it's because they are concentrating on the wrong couple. Rather than this incest shit I rather see the CEO and his secretary boyfriend story. Or maybe even the cousin's wedding line and how she will deal with her in-laws. I rather have a totally new couple.
But what they are giving is almost incest. No one wanted A to be gay. No one knew A. Why is he getting the most time now?

But everything in this manhwa is so easily achieved. It's like child's play whenever there's a problem. No mystery or danger.
It's disappointing because the plot is so interesting I just it was written better.
The characters feel one dimensional and talk in such a robotic way.
It feels like a newby wrote it. And I know cause I used to write like this. It's hard to write organic dialogues that doesn't sound forced.
But because of this it's so hard for me to get into.

Noo I 100% get what u mean. Like I really enjoy it but it's definitely not the strongest writing. The plot is great and I like the characters, but the execution is weak at times.

I often just attribute stiff dialogue to poor translation but it's definitely also the writing here lmao
I saw it's actually a Wattpad story before so maybe the stiff writing is coming not from translation but from the original work

Tbh I fully understand Seyong's worries. He doesn't have a support system. He doesn't have anyone to fall back on if Heejae betrays him. So it's much harder for him to open his heart. Also it's not like Seyong is wrong to doubt Heejae as he did have ill intentions when he started
So it's a very unique and interesting concept. This must the first bl I read that went this deep into the iselai gami concept. I loved that it had so many twists and turns.
However....it might have had too many twists and turns.
The story never gave us time to process any of the plot twists. One after another without any break felt too much. And because of the fast speed it never got the chance to explore it's theme properly. Maybe it the point but all the characters really felt like NPCs(Even Nigel). The didn't feel cohesive and there actions were random as if the author decided on a new plot twist and forced the characters to act in a certain way to make that plot happen. After sometime I didn't care what happened just wanted to see the ending.
Also the chemistry between Nigel and Edna is nonexistent until chapter 38. They never felt like that had actual feeling for eachother. It felt forced and awkward.
The entire story felt like "Why is this happening? Because the Author said so"
it's an adaptation of a novel...so I think a lot of stuff got left out; I can see how this would be like, better consumed in book format given the plethora of monologues.
Personally, I don't find it difficult to follow, but I do think reading it weekly is not helping.
The prince is a total red flag to me. He doesn't even consider the uke's feelings. He keeps saying "This isn't our first meeting for me tho" "I want you to live with me" " I want you to have my babies".
It's always about him. The uke is calmly saying he wants it slow and is ok with the marriage after love. But the prince wants everything now. He is acting like a child. Throwing a tanturn after realising his demands don't work on everybody.
I wish there would be character development but I have read too many manhwas to know there would only be character assassination of the uke. The prince will not change but the uke will become dumb and forgive anything his baby prince husband does.
