Readers have their own preferences but I’m not sure why some readers think they have seen Carcel/Ines’s full story yet. Ines and Carcel’s love story so far only covered Calztela and part of Mendoza. Calztela was primarily for healing. Mendoza is to show Ines learning about Carcel from his mother and his old letters. We also get to see Ines is already in love with Carcel.
I thought readers should know by now that TBR will continue to reveal some shocking things. Readers love to talk about Ines / Emiliano / Luca in the previous timeline. They used to say she had a family as if that qualifies her to get back with Emiliano. Well, wait and see everything that will be revealed this season. Readers think they know and they really don’t. Big revelations ahead.
Edit: staring with ep99, the shocking revelations begin. If you really can’t wait for the first big revelation, the images are all over Twitter. Note that the ep numbering on this website is different. Today’s ep is actually ep97.

This is a really huge spoiler. Not sure if you want to wait for it to be revealed. I always imagined how shocked novel readers were when it was revealed at the time the novel was serializing each week. So, make sure you want to be spoiled. I will put a single spoiler first. That is one to be half spoiled. The second spoiler will be a more thorough spoiler.

That Carcel is Ines’s first husband and they had three kids. Two that were born and one that Carcel had to make the decision to abort because Ines was already dying and the baby would kill her. Ines and Carcel’s children died in vain because of a BITCH who hates Ines in every timeline. Their first two kids lived for a while though. The first one lived for 10 months and is still Ines’s longest living child. All three children were both poisoned by the BITCH.

The rule of TBR for memories is as follows:
Memories are gained via two ways:
- suicide: memories given as punishment
- wishes: visions/memories given at certain points in life
Carcel is an anomaly. He shouldn’t have memories. He didn’t commit suicide and he didn’t make wishes for memories. He used his wishes differently. However, for some reason, he began to gain visions/memories like deju vu after certain triggering events like the assassination attempt and the painting of Sevilla.
Edit: those who commit suicide wake up with memories. Those who made wishes for memories get dreams at certain points in their lives. They’re not born with memories.

According to Tappytoon schedule, episode 97 will be released this Saturday. Episode 98 will be released on July 5th and episode 99 will most likely be released the Saturday following. Currently, episodes 97 - 99 are out in South Korea. From now on, it looks like Tappytoon will lag behind South Korea by two episodes.
Interestingly, TBR was first launched on Tappytoon then later released on South Korea’s Kakao after six months then it was released to other countries. So Tappytoon was the only platform with the pilot episodes for six months.

The only love triangle that exists in this story is Oscar / Ines / Emiliano. Cárcel has absolutely nothing to do with the drama those three created in the previous timeline. In fact, Cárcel was ordered early on to retrieve Inés and he ignored the orders and continued to live his peaceful life in Calztela free of the scandal of those three which was known throughout all Ortega. It’s after Oscar decided to send soldiers out, Carcel decided to stop ignoring those orders and acted to find Ines himself.
As to Emiliano, it is true that he was initially dragged into Ines and Oscar’s drama. However, he ceased to be innocent after he willingly gave into his sexual lust. Now, in this new timeline, he had every opportunity to stay out of Ines’s business yet he’s the one who chose to make himself known to Ines then eventually her husband. None of this is Ines’s fault because not once did she attempt to drag Emiliano into her life again. She has supported him financially through intermediaries and he doesn’t even have a clue she’s sponsored him. That’s how much she was determined not to ruin his life again nor let him ruin hers.

This incessant phenomena to reduce characters into flags is something readers do nowadays. If anyone ever read TBR novel, it’s more like the English equivalent of historical literature than the Korean version of light novels. The author wrote her characters like real people who have flaws. For instance, even Oscar is not 100% terrible just like there’s no character in this that’s objectively 100% a good person. Good people can do bad things and bad people can do good things. The absurdity that authors should write characters as perfectly good or perfectly bad seems to be something manhwa readers demand nowadays. Readers like these definitely won’t be able to handle old Japanese shoujo manga. Saying the author should write characters one-dimensional rather based on humanity or human nature…well, maybe this story is not for you.
Ines opening up to Carcel is simple. Carcel has shown her that no matter what she has done…no matter what she has said, he will always be on her side. Carcel, by nature of his personality, is the kind of person who inspires trust with Ines. It only took six months for Ines to realize Carcel would do anything for her and would still be on her side even when she hurts him or say terrible things to him. That’s why Ines called him her “Inside the border” where she can’t get hurt by anything. Unfortunately manhwa ep65 didn’t include the “Inside the border” stuff but here is why Carcel inspires Ines’s trust:
Life just seemed to be within a safe border so that she wouldn't get hurt by anything. When was the last time she felt this way?….
Come to think of it, she didn't even know why she considered his side as the inside of the border. She had never questioned this sense of security. It was also unknown why he was classified apart from that ‘outside'. Why did her memory keep getting worse when she was next to him? Also, her mind neglecting things. How come there was no more anxiety with her?…
Perhaps because he took all her worries. Thinking about it, he had a lot of useless worries in his head…Because he thought of her more than she thought of herself…
How contradictory it was that she had always wanted time to pass by quickly, but she didn't want this moment [with him] to pass. What a great contradiction he was to her.
