you can tell the creator fully understands haesoos situation. so many other creators put their characters in these situations without even thinking about how it would effect them, they just use it as a plot device (like debt). but this creator also shows how relationships aren't always happy ever after. young teenage love where they only had each other morphed into a unloving and cold house and cheating.
the creator captures haesoos grief correctly, her personality too. she was so tired and exhausted, purely on survival mode at the beginning and didn't take a breather and do anything for herself. she worked herself to death and supported mincheol. doing that for 13 years will literally drain the life out of you. and the creator knows that and portrays it amazingly but yall wanna complain abt the lack of personality. with haesoo growing up abused neglected and anything else and then ending up in a relationship where she's used and tossed aside, that fucks you up.
she was with mincheol for almost 15 years. she's not just going to forget about him and the author shows that well. she still thought of mincheol, of their past and even compared taeha to him at one point. it took haesoo awhile to grow confidence (with the help of taeha) and eventually began to bloom as a woman.
the creator really shows how a relationship can take the light out of a woman's eyes but yall just wanna call it porn with a plot (bc of a few sex scenes) and bc haesoo is curvy.
and yall complained about the pacing when in real life situations people get closer and have sex and teeeter between a relationship before anything else happens between them.
"just please let it be me, not him let it be me" or whatever he said he YEARNS for her and has seen how much mincheol ruined her and just wants to give her unconditional love. he always reassures her in his own way to give her more confidence and saw that him being distant made her put up her walls and he's still reassuring her to make her feel better. he wanted to be a little tóxico but when he saw the consequences he backed down real quick lol.
he manipulated his way into her life but his feelings for her are deep, especially since he's never had an interest in women before. he also yearns to get revenge on mincheol lol i love this manhua sm

okay but this is my favorite of all time. the art, the comedy, the attention to detail when it comes to work/school, and even the parts about mental health and trauma are so well done. it really does a good job at showing how trauma can affect someone and the way they act in relationships and also shows how being loved the right way can help you heal :,). it also does a good job at comedic relief so the "angst" really isn't that bad and all the characters are mature so the "angst" parts move smoothly. none of that stereotypical miscommunication bull shit,
just a story about two adults who navigate work/school life while falling in love. it's amazing.
