Me personally if I was in a situation like this, I would just think they were being polite or it was to awkward to say anything but I also understand thinking the person was playing with your heart in a way by not putting you down the moment they realizes you had feelings for them and they didn't feel the same or whatever the hell.
Humans are complicated little shits, people react and expect different things, when it comes to certain situations and others can either agree or disagree to at least some, like I said, I think I understand why girly said it was 'disgusting'but personally I don't agree bc wow in my opinion that's a huge jump to take especially when you like the person.
