This is the third time I re-read the final, and despite Koogi’s words I still can’t say if sangwoo “loved” Bum or not.
I wrote Sangwoo a poem for literature project and I bawled so bad in the process If I imagined Sangwoo had feeling (whatever it is) for Bum and had "something to say" to Bum, but never got to say it because he's suffocated to death.
And Imagined in split second before he died, he felt 'guilty' and 'afraid' that the curse was real and he's too late to tell Bum everything.

I see this more in Korean materials I read than the shoujo. Sad thing about shoujo most of their problems are over exaggerated n could have been solved with simple communication. This is like one of the major reasons why I switched over to yaoi.

So. I just read the spoilers, and I love so much this story because it’s so real and well portrayed. Yes, Lucius will have to marry 3 women, but he still loves Pauliana, and don’t go saying “oh well i’ll Drop this story, 3 wives are too much, poor Pauliana” because that’s REALITY. An emperor must gain power through marriage, and so does Lucius. The beauty of the character is in still loving only Pauliana, and it seems that in the end they also get together so. What are you complying for? She is a strong woman that accepts the fact that her lover is a an emperor who must carry on duties.
