I believe it's basically because two alphas biologically aren't wired to love each other in this version of omegaverse so the omega guy was insecure about getting into a relationship with top because he thought he wouldn't like him after he presented (because most biological men in this world present as alphas) and to get bottom to trust to be in a relationship with him he went the complete opposite way and said he likes only alphas and hates omega so that the bottom wouldn't think he would leave him for an omega in the future, but I'm pretty sure he was telling a white lie for the bottom's sake and that he actually doesnt care ╥﹏╥
It's only based on the belief that the majority of males turn out to be Alphas, so Jin-Hyeon took it for granted that the MC will be an Alpha too.
Problem is that the MC twisted that take as Jin-Hyeon hating on Omegas, even though majority of Omegas are female.
