i think the whole point is that neither of them had moved on, their entire story stopped midway and both of them had always only kept the other in their heart - it’s understandable that signup was scared to get in a relationship with him considering societal issues + long distance relationship since he’s graduating. he loved him so much he was scared how broke he’d be if they ever broke up plus they rly were just kids. i think their adult selves also make sense - why do people expect adults to be so clean and logical about their feelings? to simply move on and never experience deep emotional love? they loved eachother for their entire lives and although it had ended partway in pain, they realised they still want to be together despite it all. i just think both of their actions and emotions are well justified and meaningful. it seems everyone in this comment section just wants the librarian to get over him and move on and break sugino’s heart, i think this is quite a 1 dimension and cruel way of story telling. and i think the most beautiful aspect of this story is both of their persisting love, even after years of being apart. idk man all these negative comments rly annoyed me, just feels so unempathetic

i could talk all day about how much i hate the emperor it’s so annoying to see people excuse his actions because he was SAed when the guy literally colluded with his wife to murder his own siblings and also left a whole baby in the hands of a known abuser. Also he literally married the women and THEN told her he didn’t want kids… how did he think that was gonna work out like he ofc doesn’t deserve to be SAed (no one does ofc) but he’s quite stupid and selfish and that’s enough to not excuse his actions towards etienne. literally a useless piece of shit who’s obsessed w himself

With the recent chapters it only shows how much of a dick he is. The way he talks about omegas is sickening. Like yeah giving birth to heirs and helping connect families (which is just treating them like tools) is all their good for. The irony in all this is that the same people he is downplaying and treating worse then dogs is his own son. Not to mention the only son he has and the one who heard all of this. Mc is constantly being killed to hide that he's an omega just to hear his father say they aren't being treated unfairly. It cut off my post while I was typing srry

I think what also made me mad is the he has probably already only met the Mc 30 times in his life time but he wants to tell the ml that he doesn't think the Mc has feelings for him, when never built any relationship with the Mc at all, and he was even like telling the ml how the Mc has change when he never knew him but only thought of him as the empires son.

tbh i think the writing for seonwoo is Really good interesting characters don’t always have to be morally perfect and all of seonwoo’s actions just make too much sense considering how he was raised. all the love he has ever known is fake and this made him compulsively “check” if people will truly love him even if he hurts them and is the worst person - he essentially believes he is incapable of love and won’t stop until he proves to himself that the person who claims to love him is actually lying because it’s better to be thrown away early before he gets in too deep? and being in his position, it’s true that most of the people around him are there for superficial reasons, he was casted out by his own family and is regularly exposed to the manipulation and psychological torture of his younger brother.. even now he learns that the only person he thought he could call his family was indeed lying to him and actually wants to kill him now that he’s of no use… it makes complete and utter sense that he’s distrustful and him hurting other people in the process also makes sense because other people have always hurted him for no reason? you apply what you learn from experience yknow. it doesn’t make sense to expect someone who grew in a abusive environment to continue to be kind to others and not let their trauma affect them. like yes his actions are terrible obviously but they definately make sense and i think it’s so ridiculous to be like “eh he had a sad past but he shouldn’t hurt others” because it’s so idealistic and sadly many people do not have the comfort and privilege to look easily past their trauma and not let it affect them seonwoo’s victims are allowed to hate him but as readers, i think we of all people should acknowledge the very good example of how trauma is not always a convenient mental illness but can also affect others lives too - and ultimately seonwoo is the one who loses the chance of receiving a decent chance of living a fulfilling life at all. it’s just so unfair to be destined from your birth to live a life without the warmth of unconditional love and belonging.

anna as a character is already sm more well developed compared to the other 2 that it makes i want to root for her so strongly the scene between rose/lily felt so .. idk disgusting? exactly the same shallow empty and gross depiction of superficial intimacy that anna saw in her childhood, only this time the participant of it is the love of her life, her symbol of true/pure love. i hope that anna is finally able to remove lily from the pedestal she’s placed her on and is able to see her levelheaded, prioritising herself first and foremost. only then will she be able to express her feelings of love genuinely from her heart and receive those same feelings back. love anna!!! such an interesting character and honestly somewhat relatable in her disgust for shallow/superficial relationships. i think i’m gonna dislike rose a lot lol
ayano and hazuki are clearly in a relationship, it’s so cute seeing hazuki get all possessive
