I feel like the author is stretching this out because this problem should not take this long to solve and it seems likes it a circle. When the plot clearly could be moved along by now.
The story really could have ended by now because the plot is really not the deep or hard to solve.
Also what does Dan like about JK I feel like we don't really know why Dan like Jk. We know Dan like that he gives him money to better his life but that really .....it. Where as in BJ Alex we knew why they liked each other. The couple in BJ Alex could list a lot of reasons why they liked each other.

I really like this story but I feel like they smash to much to the point that it becomes boring.
