I feel like the direction this story is going in is that eventually, Sam-Myeong is going to have a massive mental breakdown and become an extremely broken, vulnerable shell of himself from all the sexual abuse (guilt from feeling physically pleasured by rape and a man), all of the plague patients who died due to a lack of his care bc he’s trapped in the palace (guilt from feeling like he’s directly responsible for multiple deaths), and the revelation that his dad was murdered.

But I want to believe that if this does happen and SM ends up so mind broken that he maybe develops Stockholm syndrome it won’t be glorified or seen as romantic, since this story isn’t tagged as romance >.< I’m trusting the process!
