This is one of the very rare few times where the MC isn't completely oblivious to the ML's feelings, wow! I'm impressed! It's a pretty low-stakes story, so I'd understand if someone felt this was a bit bland, but it was also definetely very well executed. It's just more-so an iyashikei than a dramatic romance; the pacing feels really natural, and they look really cute together..... wo all in all, I loved it!!! The art is really great, too, and the sex is nice. Ryo looking a bit feral when he saw Hajime's expressions was super hot.
The only thing I'd say is a miss here is the side characters; some of them get full face cards but you see very little of what they're like as people. I guess it's a byproduct of the fact the world arouns them also isn't expanded on; the story truly is about these two, and these two only lol
For a simple, 1 volume story, I'd say it works well enough~

Like I can SEE, clear as day, how the author was like "wait they like him freaky?" after volume 1 and just went absolutely ballistic with the sequel-- and thank god they did. This is like, the perfect example of good toxic yaoi. Not a physically and mentally abusive asshole for a ML, and a wimpy MC who can't say no... this is true FREAK 4 FREAK. They are BOTH unhinged (although Kazuma goes the extra mile in his efforts lolol) and completely cuckoo. I LOVE them so so profoundly. The fact Naoto is mostly fine w anything (not kinky in any specific way) but then just literally drools and nosebleeds at Kazuma's attention... He gets off on being obsessed over, isn't that just cute? ♡
The only thing I missed seeing here was a scene of Naoto snapping at someone (prolly Yokori) for acting like they know Kazuma more than him lololol that would've been soooo good... and if Kazuma saw that, too? He would've literally creamed his pants in public. Can we get another sequel with that, pretty please?!?! These two still have so much potential for freaky shenanigans!!

I mean if they're your bf's friend that would probably be more awkward since they would already know you're monogamous... but as a general rule I personally wouldn't find it "weird" to be asked a question. I know it's easy to have a gut-reaction of refusing it as fast as possible (my guess is most people would), but when all is said and done it IS just a question so I think it's better to just assume it wasn't mean-spirited.
There are *definetely* better ways to ask that kind of stuff though – like starting by asking if they're even polyamorous in the first place lol – rather than literally jumping the gun like that, but I'm moreso talking about "having that type of conversation" in general rather than a specific way to phrase it
Everyone's different tho, so I'm not trying to tell you what you personally should or shouldn't find weird, just saying it wouldn't necessarily make someone *be* a weirdo to try and ask something along these lines
