Kinda screaming rn bc confessions on a mic like that give me sooo much second-hand embarrassment... but I love these two, so I must... persist...!!
PS: the cover here rn is for the second volume, which was published under a slightly different name (Osowaretai Tsuzuki)-- idk where exactly the bots are ripping from but I hope this means we get volume 2 soon enough too
Volume 2 broke me so much, we literally witnessed an angel losing it's wings I'm happy with how things ended in their transition into "an actual relationship", but I'm kinda sad that Ogi's fear of having people perceive his love of cute things was never touched upon again :( I know it's implied that things sorted themselves out (he's mostly back to his old style) and ultimately Tago really did stand up for him just wearing what he likes (in a non-direct way jshdjd) but I reaaaally want to see more of Ogi's thoughts on the matter, and how he feels about it currently. Sorry but I felt so so bad to see him supress part of himself like that, I can't just let this plot point go without a proper conclusion
Seriously, witnessing how friendlier people were with him at the get-together because he had "tidied himself up" made me sick to my stomach :(
I can't decide what I love the most in this. The way Kazuma is slowly becoming even more blatantly unhinged, opening up to Naoto abt it? Or maybe the way Naoto is so fucking freaky himself that he came from hearing Kazuma go on abt how obsessed he is?? The "oh shit" moment where he realizes he DOES match Kazuma's freak???? Idk, man, but I'm OBSESSED.
This is quite possibly peak toxic BL. Amen!!
I'm kind of pissed at Ichimura. Like, how come you heard Nishino be *so* strongly against marrying Yayoi, and you still think "ending your relationship so that he can focus on his fiance" is the right choice? Nishino has confided in Ichimura that he wants to follow his own feelings and not be controlled by his parents – I repeat, confided in him that he does NOT want to marry this Yayoi person (although she wasn't named then) – and his conclusion is that the burden here is *him*? Not the parents? Not the complete disregard they seem to have for what Nishino wants? How come you apparently love him and still think the best thing to do here is to leave him to this fiance he does not even want???
Sorry for the rant, but this is SUCH a common occurrence in this trope-- that the ML always explicitly says he does not want the arranged marriage, and his hand is being forced, and yet the MC never stands up for him (even like, in private). Instead, it always turns into the MC thinking he is not worthy, or unwanted, or something along these lines. How come they always ignore the fact the ML is NOT happy with this situation?
I know Ichimura here probably thinks there's no helping it, and that this is a hopeless scenario for Nishino too... but how come?!?! Shouldn't you try to support Nishino's wishes and his happiness, if you love him?? It's clear that this arranged marriage is making him suffer, so why is it that you're using it as a chance to distance yourself from him??
God, this makes no sense. Am I just being too idealistic, here...? Like, damn, Ichimura doesn't need to get involved and solve the family conflict here, but shouldn't he be showing Nishino some support at least...?
No youre so right. Like clearly Nishino was NOT happy about an arranged marriage (to a woman no less when he's gay). Its not even like Nishi was resigned to let it happen and just upset about it. He is actively fighting it, yet Ichi is still like "im the problem"
Bro even if you dont think he likes you specifically, use ya damn head
I’m glad this was the first comment I see because I was just talking about this. You’re completely right and I’m just wondering why these authors create these low self-esteem characters that disregard the ML’s, literally loudly spoken feelings and then trace it back to how they feel unworthy like helloo???

My point in my last comment still stands. Ichimura WHEN I GET YOU---
