This was all around lovely, I'm so surprised. I initially thought it would be more of a dramatic manga, because in this genre that's usually the case... but even if there are definetely more serious events later on, the slow and "romcom-like" beginning sets a really nice tone for the whole series. The more "simple" yet super pretty art style also really compliments the pacing... those first few chapters felt like such a iyashikei. I kind of miss it. It made the dramatic and tense moments even more appealing so I'm happy, but I am definitely still enamoured with that vibe it had going on. Has anyone seen Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge? It reminds of that, for sure.
Anyways, I'm kind of just rambling atp. This was just a really good series. If you enjoy stories where the main couple gets really lovey dovey and you get to see their life as a couple... this one is perfect.
Kind of mid?? It was so interesting and really funny at the start, but somehow the more it went on the more the quality of the art and panelling degraded. It felt like there was so much happening all of the time, and the initial essence was lost. The plot was actually really nice, however, and I felt like the twist was really good-- but again, the quality drop affected its execution.
It feels especially bad on the last chapter when they show panels from the first chapters and you can truly see how much the art changed
All in all, I'll have fond memories of those first 20 or 30 smth chapters, but not much else. Worth it if you are just looking for something to read with an empty mind and finish fairly quickly.
P.S: there are a few chapters (or panels), I would assume, missing. I would recommend reading from ch56 onwards somewhere else.
This was... so good. Holy fuck. I never expected so much quality in the writing, plot, characters, art... it hits the mark in so many different areas. I was locked in from the start, hook line and sinker, and until the very last chapter that never changed. I ended up binging it in a day and I don't regret anything.
If you are in doubt whether to read this, please – just give it a chance, and you won't regret it.
Read the title, read the summary, read the comments... and still didn't believe it. Reading did not make it any better. I thought it would be one of those where their parents met after they're already adults and they don't "feel like brothers" because they didn't grow up together... or smth........ but ye no. Incest scapegoat. Crying because the author is still good I didn't wanna miss one of their manga
Absolute cinema! This is one of the best "reincarnating into a novel/game as the villainess" there is, imo (at least between the complete ones). The characters were all compelling, and FL's motives were so understandable. I always find it strange when people get isekaid or reincarnated into a whole different life and don't even think about what they've left behind. But this one tackles it in a really beautiful way, with FL's struggling between her desire to go back and the things she must do in order to achieve that, even if she doesn't want to do them. It feels ver real when she sometimes tries to push everything away with a "maybe I should just run away and not think about this again". She was a splendid character!
All I could wish for would be to see more of her and Anahkin interacting in ordinary moments. It would've been nice to see them build their relationship outside of plot-crucial moments. But oh well! It was still a lovely little romance. Very good read, all in all.

Everyone's talking about Jaehyuk being in the closet (and leaving his phone behind), but I wonder if that's really the case? Like, did he hide he was dating Garam by saying he had a *girl*friend? Or did his friends simply assume (given his past, supposed straight-ness) that it was a girl? I dunno for sure how gender neutral the conversation between him and his friends really was, in the og korean, but the translation is neutral so I can't say if he's really going to pull an "I'm not gay guysss jkjk" while being this infatuated with Garam.
The fact Jaehyuk is so open and honest to himself about his love for Garam somehow makes me think this isn't the kind of person who'd deny they're dating a guy, when they're already this deep into it.
I can't really know for sure but... Idk, I just have this faint hope he'll be blunt and honest about dating Garam, if confronted about it. I hope I'm not *too* let down lol
No, he won't. The one being in the closet is Garam. Jaehyuk also tell the girl, his childhood friend abt garam and clearly said he is a guy hahaha
I HOPE HE IS OR HE'LL PULL UP THE SAME ACT AS GARAM'S EX, ISTG ヽ(`Д´)ノ
No, the childhood friend thinks Garam is a girl because his name is gender neutral
Jaehyuk hasn't come out yet but yeah I also think that he won't have a problem with being open about their relationship
I think seeing the difference in how they act might be just what finally eases Garam's mind about dating. His ex being secretive and scared, while Jaehyuk has too blunt of a personality to even consider that lol
At first, but check again.
I think so, too. Praying for a happy ending
