They're all alright, but the last two stories specially feel a bit more clunky than the rest– like they struggled to fit into a oneshot. It's kinda sad bc they have the premises I was most excited about, but in the end there's not a lot to connect with bc of that rush.
Oh well! Still pretty cute all around~

This is lowkey kinda bad. The v-tuber theme is barely there-- there is neither a commentary on the industry, nor an attempt to actually show the v-tubing, or any exploration of Akimichi's niche as a stremer (except the baiting for BL fanart)??? Then there's Riku, who feels as bland as sauce-less past and has a crushing sense of loneliness-- which he somehow desperately wants Akimichi to fill in for. I genuinely can't understand how Riku fell for him-- even if you ignore how rude and closed off Akimichi has always been, the narrative itself at no point convinces me that Riku actually likes him. All the interest he shows for Akimichi and what he does seems surface level (yet Nora calls the fact he googled Akimichi's vtuber persona "cyberstalking"?? when akimichi is a public figure??? where the fuck is that stalking), partly because Riku shows no interest on life itself and because the manga doesn't want to bother going into actual detail on the v-tuber experience– so it's all, "oh, wow! You play games! I can't play games! How riveting!" in the most monotone voice ever... And then suddenly, what pushes him forward is jealousy?? For the BL that Akimichi has been baiting for??? Which, sure, okay, but ONE conversation and suddenly Riku can't contain himself from trying to get into Akimichi's pants???? Literally what the fuck
And now, the princess has to be recued.
Like I'm so sorry/gen to yuck your yum if you enjoyed this but personally I just couldn't see any passion for any of the characters here and it drove me nuts how the narrarive progresses while leaving the characters behind like that

Hanzawa scares me the FACES he makes, bruh, like he's boutta call them fags
Anyway, I'm glad this whole "fight" happened. Both Hirano and Kagiura's feelings are valid, so they're bound to hit a wall in the places they differ– but it's important that they choose to talk it out and communicate their feelings about these things. This kiss incident needs to set a precedent for them not of "we're at odds because we've got very different opinions on this," but rather of "we need to communicate and respect our limits and that's okay." </3
I can see a lot of people hc Hirano as being in the aroace spectrum, and while that's 100% fine (and I'd love it if the author actually made that a thing), just for the sake of the argument let me say he doesn't really need to be aroace for his view on love, and his wants, to be different from Kagiura's! They are two different people-- that in and of itself is enough of a reason. I have a lot of personal baggage when it comes to physical touch, so for me it's easy to consider this doesn't have to do with his sexuality per se-- but I'm not sure how common of a connection that may be for others (i.e maybe this is a neurodivergent thing), so that's why I want to just mention that. You're never the one to decide what someone else feels; whether or not things may look or seem a certain way to you, ultimately, they are someone else's feelings and therefore are something you will never decide for them. Hirano's sexuality notwithstanding, his feelings are understandable and valid – just like Kagiura's are, too, for wanting to kiss him. It's important they BOTH communicate what they want; regardless of it maybe making Hirano uncomfortable, as they need to understand eachother first and foremost right now.
The two of them can make this relationship work as long as accommodations and compromises do not feel like *sacrifes* to them; and that's something we'll have to see play out from here on out.
Anyways, they're both two cutie patooties, and I love 'em. But Hanzawa scares me...
EDIT: somehow I switched Hanzawa's name for Sasaki??

We do have to remember that in the main series, Hanzawa's brothers come out as gay though I think he only knows one of them as being gay. He understands that gay people have a lot of struggles and just wants the best for his brothers, not wanting them to get hurt. I think he also has a lot of internalized conflicts, especially in regards to being the only one in the family who may get married to a woman and have biological kids. He might even stop himself from exploring his own sexuality whether that be straight, gay, or somewhere on the spectrum.

You're so freaking right and I agree wholeheartedly!! I have noticed that for a lot of people, by hcing as (aro)acespec, end up expecting certain things out of it when the reality is that even if he IS aroacespec his comfort levels, desires, etc are his own unique experience that may not line up with what anyone personally experiences. (If it does, great!) And if he ISN'T aroacespec, nothing changes, how he feels is how he feels and what he is comfortable with remains regardless and is no less valid! :) as you said, him and Kagiura being different people already explains why they feel differently about things, and that is more than enough!
Hanzawa also freaks me out i must say pftt

about hanazawa it's also important to remember that he's the dorm leader (like supervisor) so he has to be responsible and having "roommate" relationship is very rule breaking especially since being gay isn't widely accepted. it's very high risk, they can get expelled and affect their promising future. ofc both are responsible person but just in case just in case since hanazawa knows typical japanese guy (and stereotypical japanese gay) that often jump to action. beside japanese is just very strict about some stuff (especially school) and hanazawa supposed to be one to supervise that. he actually pretty good guy since he let them go (pretty sure he realized that bruise on hirano's lips and kagehira's cheek). although i understand the author draw him super scary sometimes, ig his face is just that scary lol
THE TWO OF THEM CUDDLING WITH MAYO??? MY HEART
