
This chapter wrecked me on so many levels. It was so good, if not the best.
We have seen that Yu Yang parents could be accepting, but in a heteronormative society they must live with the fact that it must be shameful to have an "abomination" as son because of his sexual orientation. In my country, if someone is known as an homosexual, he could be burn in a public place. This chapter confirm one of my doubts that the harshness of the father is because he really want to understand his son, otherwise he would have never accepted to see his son again.
