I like it so far—it’s fun and enjoyable! But I kind of wish they didn’t make him the author of the novel. It would’ve made more sense if he was just someone who heard about the story from a friend or read a few spoilers online, and then got isekai’d with a system that tells him where all the OP loot and plot armor are.
I get that he might not know a lot about the academy—honestly, I’m not even sure the original Adel ever went there. Plus, since the novel was written from the protagonist’s POV, it makes sense that he wouldn’t write much detail about the villains until they show up.
But come on, if he’s supposed to be the author of the novel, shouldn’t he know way more about the characters he created? Especially Adel, who’s the final villain! His whole story revolves around revenge for the Arsen family, and yet he knows nothing about them? Why does he even need a piece of paper to remind him of stuff from his own book?
At this point, saying he’s the author is just an excuse so he knows where the protagonist’s cheat items are.
When I read the earlier chapters, i thought, well, I can respect her choice to prioritize her current family over the MC.
But then again, was she forced to do it? was she cornered? is it really right to sacrifice another child to save her own? other parents in the story also tried to save their child from military enlistment without going that far.
And also, was it the rational thing to do? Was it smart to sold out the only person capable of facing a mad tyrant, and stop the whole child soldier system?
But i thought, well, I don’t approve of it, but i can still respect it.
Then, i read the novel.

Why was the mom written that way? She couldve been a neutral force. It's unnecessary to make a villain out of her. Honestly, out of everyone to turn into a villain, it had to be the mom. She already went through a lot. She deserves peace and happiness with her family of choice. Even tho she's the mc, the world shouldn't revolve around her, where if this character A doesn't love her, then they're bad. That's very one dimensionsal. And when I found out about that spoiler with the mom, I dropped this.
To think you thought that way.. well I just thought everything they wrote would be necessary because the setting aren't done yet. I'm still waiting for the ending where I would see how the mom would confess everything happens when the relationship of the MC and her
-have finally recognized. But I still hope the update to keep going to know the full storyline of how it's goes.

ML there is...well, more of your typical obsessive type. definitely dubcon, but at least he listens when MC opposes strongly, I think?
Also I reread https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/if_you_touch_my_brother_you_re_all_dead/ and turns out you were right - one of the MLs in the OG story is a rapist (though he gets offed pretty quick) and the humor...takes some getting used to. It's fun once it finds its legs though. But then I also saw spoilers on reddit that the story gets...gaslighty on the MC's part so I'm treating that as complete. (I don't want to see my softboy accountant in pain)
Yes the first one is the one I meant!! Tried reading it but it felt like "turning a gay guy straight" and the the guy is s rapist who sexually assaulted her brother how tf does she have feelings for that I got disgusted so I left lol.
The second one...I remember something like that but tbh I didn't like it, read it a few years ago so maybe my tastes have changed but I didnt find it as funny as this one. this story is definitely more polished than the author's other story. That one is more 'lol so random' sort of humor, mostly carried by it's art more than anything. It was pretty fun to read as it came out, less so when binging it again
I get that his past life experience gives him advantage in battles but isn’t it too much to solo play a hoard of orcs and a demon orc right away when he’s just level 1 and he only just awakened? It’s not like he carried over his physical stats.
