a lot of students go thru so many difficult situations since a young age actually . . . it ain't that weird, sadly. my bff is an elementary school teacher and she knows some students who've been under the influence of drugs or exposed to them since 9 y.o. it's actually pretty tragic

Yeah, I know an older man who became addicted to chewing tobacco at five years of age (introduced to him and his older brother by their extremely abusive and alcoholic father), but he kicked the habit about thirty years ago. He had been addicted for about the same amount of time, which is shocking.
my 9th grade year i heard about this drug dealer and surprisingly one of my friends was buying from him. Also another one of my friends was hitting carts. Even i took an edible. Unfortunately it’s not weird bc it’s so normalized since these are the experimental years. I’m more shocked that you find it shocking
