I feel like this conversation devolved pretty quickly and I agree with the other person that you don't seem to understand the point of the story? I understand that the MC comes across unlikeable and such but that's the point of the story. The guy is in the midst of highschool as someone closeted and knows that he'll never be able to show his feelings to his crush.
The bully's actions are no way in his control and I get the feeling of wanting him to stop it but the point is that his actions have no value in the situation really. The bully doesn't care about him, the MC is just one of the many friends he can hang out with and that's shown with the lack of regard he shows the MC. The decision to start bullying and continue bullying is all in the hands of the actual bully.
Tbh you can even say that the MC provided more good in the situation, giving Taesan both physical and emotional support. Though that doesn't excuse the MC's thoughts.
I can appreciate the writer not making it a black and white situation, often people end up liking people who aren't the greatest and even when you know that you still crave their attention. This is that situation.

Gosh I already really disliked the mc in terms of a main character. He had ONE ROLE: act like a side character. Goddamn he did NOT do it well. I was looking forward to more of his complex dynamics to being a side character but nor is he complex nor is he well written. A story should have a plethora of emotions if it doesn’t have that and sticks to one certain emotion, sorrow, call it a tragedy. This isn’t a tragedy and a ROMANCE. I could go on about how shitty this took for a turn. I didn’t have any hopes because I did absolutely see this coming. But each to their opinion; I just don’t see how people are hyping this up at all. This is not some literacy genius. My actual concern is; how are you finding the mc “relatable” or “good”. Fine if you like him as a character I WILL not judge; but PLEASE reflect on yourself if you find him “relatable” and understand what the problem is.
