Because yaoi is written for women and a surprisingly high % of women enjoy hot steamy rape in fiction or as RP during sex (CNC) (no shame on that kink). Rape to lovers in yaoi is also one of the classic trope of the genre, it's always been there. My opinion? I hate it.
i hate every person in this comment section tryna rush my favorite webtoon into ending omfg yall are not realizing yanagis arc has long been in the making and isnt 'suddenly brought up again', because hes always held feelings towards rindo and thats never been completely settled so idk why yall r brushing that fact aside, and if amane and rindo are going to get married while still befriending yanagi then yes they obviously should talk to him properly about their soon to be fully comitted relationship and in the meanwhile amane can practice communicating properly with rindo and not letting his emotional impulses blind him again. them getting married being the end of the plot/arc isnt something these two should rush into but none of yall gaf and just want to see the happy end instead of a satisfying well built towards ending. i get hating filler/stalling the end to an arc/plot but this is none of that, if yall were paying attention youd realize this yanagi arc was long overdue, and its finally happening in a way that isnt ooc or done in a rushed/heartless way.
