I feel bad for Helliane, there was never a reason to make her a villain. She’s loved Helga from the beginning and always did her best given the situation ;-;
She's immature. She did all the stuff just because she couldn't accept Helga didn't want to back to her old house. CHILDISH!!!
Though I do feel bad for her, she has been through a lot but she needs to mature.
She is immature and quite naive, and that got her having an immature love for helga, she couldn't accept the rejection, cause i think in her head it was "why can't you love me" or "why can't you bring our family to a better light in society" or something like that, and she wanted her back so much that got obsessed with Helga, let's not forget those girls manipulating putting more fuel in her desillusion.

This is the strongest side romance I’ve ever seen. Imagine if more series did this instead of getting the dad figure with the daughter
I think it’s also cause usually those kind of series already had dad’s married before. Here he was never in a relationship and doesn’t have children, usually they were very in love, had children and mothers died (usually during birth which is very realistic for that time period). So, it’s also kinda different to fall in love for the first time and to forget the love of your life and have a new relationship. Would be nice if more series had mothers alive, though I’ve read many that do and don’t.
They’re so cute but I still have the nagging feeling that revenge is still in there
He’s already stated that he gave up on his revenge during the beginning of their in person encounters. There was a whole chapter of his POV. Rest assured there is no revenge scheme going on anymore.

I’m glad this story isn’t going in the direction that family will always be the right answer. People suck and families will be awful. I like the nuance.
