Goddamn I'm so sick of this shit. Why is rape and SA the go-to plotline? What is wrong with people? If the author HAD go the fucked up stockholm syndrome route for some reason, why couldn't president guy just hold him hostage and do REGULAR non-sexual violence? Is that not "bad" enough? Worse, is it not "hot" enough? (Excuse me while I puke.)
But no, instead we get Pilsang shot up with some kind of hellish omegaverse heat drug so not only will he repeatedly be raped, but he'll feel pain and possibly die if he ISN'T raped. This is so gross and I'm so mad about it. The idea of anyone thinking this is some kind of karmic retribution is horrifying.
I was really enjoying this but will be dropping it now, unfortunately. The fact that they're supposed to be a "side couple" is vile.WHY CAN'T WE HAVE NICE THINGS?
I like the MC and ML, the story is interesting and their relationship is sweet. But this development with the loan shark is… very unnecessary. He’s a piece of shit, I wouldn’t be sad if he died, but having him get drugged, shackled to a bed, and raped? No one “deserves” that, and I don’t know if I can continue reading since it seems like this won’t be a one time thing. One day authors will get tired of throwing SA around like confetti. I hope.
Because even if they were just best friends, he's a terrible friend. He bails on a years-long tradition like it means nothing without even mentioning it until the last minute, proceeds to basically ghost Dohun with no explanation every time he reaches out, then gets pissy when Dohun has the audacity to try to talk to him to see what's going on. And when he is finally forced to talk to Dohun, he totally invalidates his feelings, like being upset about any of it is just some childish whining that doesn't even deserve a response.
None of that has anything to do with whether or not he has a boyfriend or whether he and Dohun have feelings for each other - if he was dating a girl or just hanging out with new friends it would still be serious asshole behavior.
I don't hate him, it's understandable that he'd want to take some time to explore his sexuality, and the guy he's dating is high key a creep and is definitely manipulating him. But how he's treating Dohun AS A FRIEND really rubs me the wrong way.
I really liked about 80% of this. The art is great, the characters are HOT, Seojin is very mature and communicative. So I could overlook the extremely dicey opening where Jaeha straddles an unconscious Seojin, cums on his chest, then crawls back under his covers like he didn’t just commit a crime, but I can’t with the side story. The sex scene that wrapped up the main story was so good because they were both really into it, so the fact that the side story got rapey out of nowhere was fucked up and really disappointing. I kept hoping it was some pre-established kink and Seojin was faking being asleep, but nope. Apparently we just can’t have nice things.
Some people don’t dislike waking up to their lovers fkng them. I once saw a comment section where this happened, people complained, and someone went on a tangent about how this was something they enjoyed. Waking up to their partner just doing whatever. Since it didn’t actually bother the MC for even half a second, the same is clearly true for the couple in this webtoon. Heck, the first time the ML did this, before they became a couple, it actually turned him on.
I read through season 1, it's cute and funny and not particularly angsty because the tone is light. It dragged a bit pacing-wise but I still enjoyed it. Yoojoon is so awkward and pure, and the way he doesn't even try to read the room and always has a deadpan expression is hilarious. His chibi is adorable.
Heewon sucks though. I understand he's been through it with his shitty exes, but poor Yoojoon has done absolutely nothing to deserve his constant suspicion and cheating accusations. Especially since Heewon doesn't even treat him very well in return. He's only ever concerned about his own feelings, takes Yoojoon for granted, and in real life I'd say this person definitely needs to work through his issues before he's ready to be in a relationship. Yoojoon never really gets angry about it either, which is a bit frustrating. Like if I was planning a surprise hotel date for someone and they followed me around and accused me of cheating on them in the lobby of that very hotel, I'd cancel that reservation.
I'll probably read season two eventually, but unless Heewon has a lot of character growth I'm gonna be hard pressed to root for him.
The story is simple and nothing unique, but in 6 chapters it manages to include a lot things that I want from yaoi but rarely get. Two queer MCs, a seme who, despite being a “playboy,” is more patient, considerate, and gentle than 99% of others, and an outspoken, proactive uke. While I'm sure the specifics aren't exactly correct, we get actual discussion of prep and lube and listening to your partner instead of just jackhammering them with a two liter soda bottle until they pass out. In most yaoi you're lucky if they spit on their finger and poke the uke's ass once before going full fwop fwop, so that's significantly more than we usually see and I really appreciate it when I find it.
I re-read this every once in a while becayse it's just so fucking sweet. I love their relationship. It’s really the ideal friends to lovers story, they just adore each other. Definitely skip 6.5, it's super creepy and I don't know why on earth the author went there in such an otherwise wholesome story. Tbh chapter 6 is also kinda annoying with the whiny bartender but sei and bunny are still so cute.
This was cute but it felt way too long considering the plot. Like the main story was 30-something chapters but if these two idiots stopped fucking and had ONE conversation this could've been cut in half. I enjoyed it but it definitely dragged in the middle and I don't think I'd read it again. BUT points for enthusiastic consent and no gross red flags. Well, the redhead was a bit predatory but he fucked off in the end and didn't really cross any major lines. By yaoi standards. The side story with him and the grimy guy was... odd.
Really underrated IMO. Chaotic, funny, and free from any real drama or toxicity. Mr. Baek is one of my favorite male leads, and his relationship with Iro is actually pretty healthy. They communicate (!!!) and consider the other person's perspective, and they both have enough self-awareness to recognize when they've made mistakes. I feel like there could have been a few extra chapters to wrap up some plot points, but the end wasn't unsatisfying as is. The art does change a bit over the course of the story - I prefer the earlier style but don't dislike the later one.
.
Special acknowledgements to Iro's surprisingly amazing ass, the bunny costume, the fact that Mr. Baek's dick isn't the size of a fire extinguisher, and Laurel, the owner of the lesbian bar who can step on my neck whenever she wants.

This is the best yaoi smut there is. Gloriously horny, gloriously uncensored, a fun concept, and Lord Hyowon is the most powerful of power bottoms. No questionable consent here, my man knows what he wants and what he wants is the D. Holding out hope for their return.
