Bessatsu Hana to Yume, the magazine of this manga closed down last year, due to the poor sales. Their target readers apparently choose to read it freely from manga aps and stopped buying mangas. Maybe some of the mangakas had to move to different magz and genre if the wish to continue.. If there's a change in art or plot style, that could be the reason. But it's only an assumption since I don't really know when exactly Madame Petite in japan was completed.

A cheap afternoon drama. No depth in the characters, just drama. Dumb pretty-faced female, rich handsome guy, strict female's family, evil female antahonist. Why waste a drawing talent for such story?

I read somewhere in the comments, someone asked "why the story revolved around a girl like Emma, what's so special about her?" or something like that, and reading some of the comments that say Emma is blind and delusional like kinda confirmed the reason why Emma is the main protagonist: she does not play victim and was able to question everything and able to see beyond the obvious revenge-to-the-evil-guys path. She doesn't stop at what makes her OWN life better, but she sees everything out of the box and try to better everything for everybody. Yes, THAT is too idealistic and naive, but I'm sure everybody at some point had the same kind of naive dream until some disappointments turns them into a realistic dreams. And THAT is the reason fictional story is awesome, the mangaka wanted to show us how a person can still dream big and be naive in a fictional world with an outcome that can be made however the mangaka wants, if the ending doesn't meet the MC's expectation then the mangaka try to show us how to be realistic, but if the ending somehow meet the MC's dream (for example: Naruto being a hokage despite the obvious obstacles) then you know what the mangaka's trying to show us. Stories meant to brings moral values to the reader, and Emma and her naive thought is the perfect example for this story. That's why this story is serialized in JUMP magz (sorry, I took the liberty to assume that JUMP's shonen always had the same naive MC)

this author likes the idea of dreams which turn out much less a dream when reality comes. Emma always goes with the unexpected, if there's no choice she will try harder to render one, in order to that she will definitely find a path that both species could live, however it might be really tough. I cant see no ways in the end, i mean how can both sides be alike without hunting? There are just few exceptions like Musica and there isn't a chance to everyone feels that way neither Emma right now then how much effort she has to do to put a pratical plan in? i suppose something will rise in depths of despair like everything does happen in this

Compared to, say, Ray and Norman, Emma's dreams, thought-process, and morals make her a better protagonist for this story.

Where Ray is pessimistic and a bit of a quitter, Emma encourages him to find a line between thinking at things realistically and giving up.

And where Norman is focused on saving only those who he cares about (people close to him, or humans in general), Emma questions whether or not killing all the demons is good for everybody.

Between the three of them, Emma gives us the ideal outlook on a horrible situation. She gives us empathy in a situation where most of us would begin to despise the demons. She gives us hope where all seems lost.

In the beginning of the story, Krone says that Emma's weakness is her naive way of thinking that she can save everyone. However, this is also her greatest strength. At Goldy Pond, if had she not been so willing to try and save everyone many more people would've died.

Don't forget that she did come up with a useable plan to escape with everyone before Norman got shipped out. Don't forget that she knew that she would eventually need to kill something/someone. Don't forget that, while full of dreams of a world where demons and humans live in peace, she also knew that it was a dream she shouldn't/couldn't share with others.

She's smart but with enough childlike want to save people. The author makes us want what Emma wants - and we know, from previous arcs, that Emma never gives up and will always find a way. Sure, it's childish and sometimes unrealistic, but we want them to survive and the author knows this. By making Emma want everyone to survive we connect with her and believe in her. Because if we don't believe in Emma, we can't believe that everyone will make it out okay.

I'm a big fan of early Naruto, and dropped it after the 2 years skip, and binge reading it from the beginning after it completed. And my thought of the whole experience in rereading it was, it's messy. The back-to-back climaxes were exhausting and at some places illogical, it felt like they were rushed toward the ending and therefore the enemies were just "poured out" one after another, with increased difficulty up till naruto and sasuke's enemy was the god herself. After the climaxes marathon then bam! peaceful days with the characters paired and their kids. IMHO Naruto is messy, but I love all the characters (except the forced enemies towards the end).

Boruto has the benefit from it's predecesor that is the character's background. The readers allready know the characters too well that introduction scenes were not necessarry. The writer used that so well that it feels natural and therefore I don't see any unneccessary drama to emphasized some unique traits of a character, everything just went smoothly. On top of that, they give Naruto and Sasuke some realistic traits as they already matured and have experienced real-life difficulties as adults.

I love how Boruto is focused on Boruto and his friends with the help of a few key characters like Naruto, Sasuke, Shikamaru and Konohamaru. I really enjoy the plot, it gave enough portion in Boruto's mental development without milking any fight scenes like chuunin exam. Also their goals are all realistic (Sarada in becoming hokage out of her admiration for Naruto in the gaiden story, and Boruto's dream to be like Sasuke from the early chapters). I used to dislike Sasuke and Naruto, but this story makes me LOVE them.

The art also good, on par with kishimoto's. Just what you would expect f lrom a Jump's mangaka.

Sorry for my long opinion. I just really enjoy Boruto.
