EVery children have a dream and as a parent they should be supporting them on that. I’m not saying they should allow them to do all/everything they want. what I’m saying is as an adult, a more experienced adult, their parent, you definitely know better, you know more about what’s out there.
Support them, especially when they truly want to do that passion they have. We only have one life, one chance to try. It’s better to not be a very successful artist than do things you never wanted to do...you’ll be happier that way.
I relate to this so much, my parents are Asian and they have a high standards when it comes to these things.
I want to be a writer or do anything related to art, but my parents wouldnt allow me and aksed me to be a lawyer or a nurse instead because that’s better and a more suitable job for me. Ughhhhh please let him do what he wants, y’all do what you want too...y’all will probably regret it if you don’t

Because it took a LOT of fighting for me to convince my parents to support my dream of becoming a writer. It took so much of time, but all of it was worth it. Keep trying, and know that I'll be hoping for you to get a breakthrough of some sort!
