I decided to read this because it has such high ratings, but I just couldn’t bring myself to like the main leads. Instead, my attention kept going to that little cute guy who’s always being bullied. He somehow reminds me of Doc Dan from Jinx—enduring everything silently, and it honestly breaks my heart. Can someone please drop some spoilers about him? I need to know what's going to happen to him for a peace of mind

    From spoiler I read:

He didn’t really showed up again. A hearsay when they got to college, no more features on the story. But it could be different from the novel.

Btw, MC has other things to care about by then. Mc was being bullied physically and emotionally (?), emotionally bullied by ML. Something about a misunderstanding by ML and then MC getting bullied in school from then on or something. So yeah, the other characters don’t really show up anymore.

This is truly a well-written gem, and honestly, it deserves a drama adaptation. I love how every detail is carefully connected, with no loose ends left behind. Just when you think you already know where the plot is heading, the author blindsides you with an unexpected twist that pulls you in even deeper. It’s clever, engaging, and crafted in a way that makes every chapter feel intentional.

Honestly, I got so hooked I didn't realize it's already 6 in the morning lmao. Goodnight.

So the mc isn't an ordinary as we think.

Is this the one that has a jdrama adaptation with Dai (Daishun of 'the boyfriends') in a supporting role??

The author gave Seong Woon such an amazingly unique ability and even made him smart enough to quickly copy skills and make them his own. But when I read the raws? He couldn’t even properly use it! He just stood there watching Beom-eui kill his teacher right in front of him, then got himself kidnapped by his so-called boyfriend, chained up by the same guy, and even forced into having sex. And in the end… he just forgives him? Seriously??

And it only gets worse. Imagine having a copy ability plus a mind sharp enough to process and adapt instantly, yet he couldn’t even save his own mother. Instead, she ends up sacrificing herself because Seong Woon completely lost it when he tried to use the cube to boost his power just to heal her injuries. Like, what was even the point of setting him up as smart and capable in the beginning if he was just going to turn reckless and useless later?

The author didn’t even put his potential to good use. The plot feels like it wasn’t planned properly—just rushed and reckless, wasting everything that made Seong Woon so promising in the first place. Ugh, the wasted potential hurts.

And the most frustrating part? Up until the very end, the author never even gave Seong Woon a proper spotlight to showcase his ability. I kept waiting for that big moment where he would finally use his power to its fullest, because in the earliest chapters I was so excited after seeing how fast he could copy abilities. That’s literally why I couldn’t wait anymore and decided to read the raws—only to end up with an MC who never truly harnesses his power or grows stronger. Such a disappointment ¯_ಠ_ಠ_/¯

Dang. Good review. I left this to marinate, thinking it would be good, considering that it was noted as action, fantasy, and ability users. I don't mind rape victim to lovers, but a spineless and useless bottom is a hard pass. They only fuel my frustration and arouse my shitty mouth. Hahah It's also a good thing that you mentioned them not fully projecting their abilities despite the strong descriptions and lofty phrases directed to them. I'd be flipping tables. Good to know. I'll see myself out.

According to the novel spoilers, the misunderstanding arc drags on for quite a while, but in the manhwa (raws), it gets resolved in chapter 77. Coda tells Jin about Ano and the guide amplifier, and while Shin fails to recruit Jin, his backup plan succeeds—leading Jin to end up with the National Security Agency, though he’s still not affiliated with any guild. Now all that’s left is for Jin to clear up his misunderstanding with Adante… but it still hasn’t happened yet (I’m on chapter 79 and we’re still waiting!
