What authors think when they make the MCs thoroughly dumb about romance, even when they are in their 30s. Is it a trope that makes FLs more attractive? By them being in constant confusion about someone's interest, and then denial once it seems like a relationship would be great between them? I mean, no female, who is even faintly realistic, would behave like this. She's annoying the hell out of me, he's been nothing but a respectful sweetheart to her.
Absolutely agree. I don't like this trope where older woman is a hardass and is maybe naive when it comes to romance or doesn't understand if some one is interested in her and gets mad when ml could lose interest in them. It's not realistic and it's annoying as hell to read.
From what I recall, there is not one single harassment or rape scene, at least not by the male lead, only the ex-bf, who is a proven piece of s**t. And I like her composure in the face of the ML's ex-gf too. And the fact they didn't make the FL irrationally jealous over his past gf or the fact that he hadn't confided in her about the ex-gf. Mangas tend to do that for padding the chapters. I like that even though she has self-esteem and trust issues, she is looking forward to a marriage with him, and to gaining his trust and love over time.
I don't like the black haired 4th prince fiance for her either, but I am especially against the blonde prick. He snitched on her when she went out to the casino, and now threatened her to dance with her. I'd take pushy and mean MLs who are always on the FLs side over this entitled rat, and I'd take warm and sweet deer-boy over both of these any day.
