I still find it weird how he's the male lead, like couldn't we just get a battle between the Crown Prince and Johan? Everything just feels so forced( ̄へ ̄)

Really? I find Hari's relationship with Johan kind of forced, since his parents were gently trying to ensnare Hari as daughter-in-law since the day she moved in. And Dyce's sudden introduction strikes me as author meddling, too. Like, why a prince?
Honestly, if Hari was going to end up with anyone other than Eugene, I think that Ethan (her guard) is the natural choice. She spends a lot of effort winning him over, he cares a lot about her but considers himself unworthy of her, and all the brothers hate him (an attractive male their age) for getting closer to Hari. That is a textbook romance there.

You're feeling that way because there is nothing that will hold her back if she were to leave. She left no dead ends and it really hurts my heart because she experienced firsthand how people can change and how painful it can be to be tied down to someone and have no way to escape. I want my Lucia to be happy so you better make her happy Duke(/TДT)/
So this is the ripple, this is when things will start to change. But honestly I still can't comprehend why it has to be Eugene. Was there more of a hint in the novel or something because it still feels so awkward for me( ̄へ ̄)
Their have some hink. In her last life she appreciated him by all her brothers
