That knight is doing everything he can for her and instead of choosing him whom she could have a decent life with, she chooses to claw her way up. Knowing the only other route is death if she doesn't pull it off and that poor knight's more than likely going to die, have to raise their child alone (knowing she never loved him nor wanted them), or the baby is gonna pass away
If it's because he's your little brother I understand since I have a little sister myself and I too would think it's too soon for them to move in together. Although I would have to know the situation first to fully determine what I would do. But if this is because they're both men you gotta a whole lot of problems coming your way (╬￣皿￣)凸
