He wants to remain honest, but it’s that honesty that’s killing her soul.
Like what’s going to happen now, will she go back to acting like a soulless doll or actually leave since why would she want to stay with someone so quick to sacrifice a whole district to stop bandits??
Her trust is gone at this point, wouldn’t be surprised if she went to the dukes and keeps herself completely closed off so no one gets hurt for looking at her wrong.

I mean it would be a stretch and we get the outside perspective, but how can he not think that shes ianna?
He already saw her after her hair went from brown to pink and left with Mr. Black flag, why not think she can change her hair again? I know her voice is different too, but he’s kinda dense. Where’s his doggy traits, we need his nose to put in work to recognize her.

I gotta ask, did they just forget that a key plot point was that she had to hide the fact their twins because it was considered ominous? Like, I dunno why it was glossed over if it was such a fear to where she had to hide her actual face.
But other than that, it was a pretty ok story. Not revolutionary, but decent.

I know it’s a romance but I want more detective work! I was the slow burn between an abandoned wife and her shitty husband groveling for loads of chapters while shes out solving big cases and riding up in the ranks.
Not for her to fold almost immediately the second he’s in the room. And who gives a shit about a new love interest being thrown into the mix. It’s not needed, and the story could’ve been better without it.

In a bad way but still.
The second when it’s revealed that shes that nobles daughter and gains a title, that stupid kings gonna be looking at her as a love interest. Because that’s how this stories playing out.
She helps the children, the dads either get told off or see that what they’re doing is wrong when they see their daughters throwing themselves at our girl. And then they start getting interested in her. (Except the first two, the little girls are trying to wingman their dads but like….)
But with the king I see him wanting her purely because she gives his daughter what she needs, and if she keeps looking cute to him then perfect. What a shitty mindset, and I’m glad her shadows the ML.

So I’ve been kinda binge reading to get a grasp of the story and so far it’s ok, but also just really out of left field?
I get needing to protect yourself and all that but they keep just letting her do dangerous stuff while the ML just sits there and spirals because of it.
And speaking of the ML he doesn’t even really feel like one, he’s just kinda there to be the ‘I don’t want her doing dangerous stuff period.’ And ‘I’m practically a background character sometimes.’
Like she interacts more with the FiL than the ML, when I’m pretty sure this is a romance story?
The stories ok, it just feels both rushed and dragged on at the time time if that’s possible.
Jigu is getting tied up and spanked aaaaaa aaaaa teehee
