i dont think the ship is completely out the wazoo, it’s been very gradual and slow and they’re both good and pure hearted people and they know that about each other but honestly it feels like admiration with that love born from hardships fought together. but they dont seem like a great couple honestly like they have no funny moments, no couple-like substance just blushing all the time lowk wack
???gustella and kayden one doesnt make sense to. Hence kayden doesnt even love her its one sided love towards her unlike jiwoos side both love each other

The romance doesn't have to be mutual tho, Kayden doesn't have to like her. Gestella is also denying that she likes Kayden (or at least not aware of it) and that's what makes it a good pairing for me, especially with their history and all. I's the chemistry, the sparks. Jiwoo × Jiyoung's case however doesn't have that kind of chemistry, and even if you say it's mutual love between them. First of all the age gap, ik it's only 2-3 years but when you think about it they're both in diff stages of their lives, second she has little to no personality, this is not me saying it bc I'm a hater cuz I'm literally her fan, but the way they build her character is a straight line. What she was earlier in the series is what she is still now, tbf she doesn't need a character development but that what makes it bland about her. But it's not entirely because of her personality, it just doesn't click. IDKW, maybe because he's her lil brother's friend and suddenly she finds him cute and got attracted to him?? Or maybe bc they don't really centralize the romance and suddenly it feels so forced.
i'm not even hoping for a character development, he's ill. and tbf he's being true to himself, he knows he's bad (or rather he knows that this is not what normal people thinks hence the willful negligence) and right now we're reading the story of Inseob who willfully stayed with a sociopath.
i don't understand their ship, like, no chemistry whatsoever. obv kayden and gestella is a much better pairing, theirs are so forced
