I guess the author is good at gaslighting readers. Because Alek is literally one hell of a scumbag and yet the average reader completely overlooks it and think of him in a good light.
Alek Raped MC twice, intentionally put MC through danger for the whole story and almost got him killed. He also used the sexual influence he had over MC a few times. And from what i remember he didnt felt an ounce of guilt for any of it.
In red candy, the MC was supposedly the best spy of the group which made me think they had many agents in their group and that sovthey were a big group with a lot of influence or power.
But in this story, it looks like their group is quite small and no power really.
And didnt they all betray the group ? (Red candy, uno and the blond IT guy).
Am i missing something ?
I have seen some comments saying that Chase parents wants their children to find their fated partner just like they did. But i have also seen comment saying one of them (if not both) acted like their children didnt exist and/or didnt care about them. I think they were talkimg about Koi.
Can anyone give me context on this from the novels pretty please
They care about their children, although Koi the most since Ashley can't feel emotions anymore aside his love for Koi, but the situation was complicated.
Too many children at the same time, 4 of them manifested before they were 5 years old + Ashley being jealous of his children since he hates to share Koi.
After a foodpoisoning inscident Ashley made Koi give over raising the children completly to him, to protect Koi and focus to make the children able to move in society without killing anyone, he used more drastic measure. But Koi from that point on had almost no direct contact with his children anyone, and if Ashley was present.
Koi loves all his little angels ( Koi is a bit delulu) and is happy when they found their partners, but is still not allowed to see his children when he wants and not without Ashley. That probably changes later, because there is an instance in the future where Ashley is ok with it.
Ashley cares, since the children are also part of Koi and Koi loves them. But he doesn't have emotions since before the children were born, there are things where you think that's not how a father should react like if he loves his child. I think Grayson had it the hardest, since he reminded Ashley the most of his father Dominic.
They for example helped Chase become an actor. Getting a role for him in that chocolate commercial was their idea ( that company was one of his law firm's clients) to get him together with humans outside of the family, since Chase had given up on the family.
And honestly? They should have stopped with the twins, at that point they had 3 children, and all three were mainfested. I think that would have been already hard enough.
Yes, I did. The actual reason is Desire me if you can. Since I knew about that pairing I wanted to read it, that was when Kiss me liar was popular and uploaded here. So that's why I read Kiss me if you can, Lick me up if you can and Eat me up if you can.lol
In Lick me up if you can the children appear in Extra 2, if you wanted to know that.
About the food poisoning, how is it the children's fault that Koi got food poisoning ?
Also why are the children dangerous to society ?
And from what you said, Koi ultimately gave up on all his children because Ashley was jealous. So basically Koi is just an omega that bows to his alpha's commands... it is quite disappointing
Ok, spoiler LMUIYC extra 2:

The twins (they were under 10 years old) back then it never was just Grayson, Stacy was always involved, wanted to test if Koi really couldn't smell and taste (after an car accident when he was young this became a problem.).
Grayson baked a cake (still don't understand why the nannies didn't watch him, he was under 10), iirc it was spoilt with detergent, and Koi ate it. He became sick, but instead of helping they asked questions as if it were an experiment.
Ashley found them and saw red, he hit and strangled Grayson, he probably would have killed him, if Grayson of all the children didn't share a trait with Koi, when he saw it he stopped. Nathaniel was also present and just watched. The children weren't able to grasp the situation, they didn't understand it at all. Grayson also didn't act as if his father just tried to kill him, and Nathaniel only called him an idiot, told him he should of thought of that.
So there really was a problem with the children.
Ashley is dependent on Koi, his health is. Can't remember if that's one of the reasons Koi gave in.
I remember that he thought back then that Ashley was always right.
There also was another inscident with Grayson, also when he was under 10 years old, that involved non family members, an advice he gave. But that would be a spoiler of Desire me if you can and Grayson's problems.
Ok so the children were born in the gray zone psychopath/sociopath ? So i guess they didnt even care that they couldnt ser Koi anymore ? Sad.
Also about Koi's safety, a normal countermeasure would have been to hire people to make sure Koi is always safe. And even if it was decided that someone else would be raising the children, there really was no reason to prevent Koi from metting the children. Therefore, Koi abandonned his children because his partner said.
By the way, you said Ashley almost killed Grayson, but what about the twin ? Did Ashley treat Grayson worst than the others because he looked like his grandpa ? Or was Grayson more of an issue than his twin
Koi still had some influence, because he wanted to be at least involed in some decisions. So he wanted Ashley that he considers his opinion.
So far we only had the story of two of their children.
It destroyed his relationship with Chase I think, because Chase was much more normal. My impression was that he was the most thirsty for affection and attention of the children. When Chase's bird died, Koi actually went to him, but didn't know how to act, but Chase already had given to on his family, so also gave Koi the cold shoulder.
Grayson is more difficult, without really spoiling. In his thoughts, when he wanted informations about dominant omegas from Keith, two dominant omegas came to mind his mind (he didn't even thought about his brother): Angel and Koi, but didn't really know them, they were not part of his life.
Grayson's problem is not being completely emotionless (doctors diagnosted that....), it's he can't understand them. He can't identify them in others, because can't identify them in himself. I mentioned that trait he inherited from his father, that comes to play when he is exited, so it indicates he feels something.
And that he was trained how to read people and learned how he should react to them, probably made it worse, because you never see a natural reaction from him.
I have to reread it to know exactly how it happened. I know they had a discussion after the food poisoning, where Ashley convinced Koi.
He treated them differently. I don't know much about Stacy, or what kind of problem she has. But they are fraternal twins, not the same. And when they were born only Grayson's eyes were open, Stacy's were closed, Ashley went by pheromone scent to come to the conclusion that she was also manifested, but Grayson emits more pheromones than others, so who knows if they both really manifested at the same time, or Stacy, probably if even only minutes, later.
With Grayson there were three things that come to my mind: The problems with his "helping", that was/is really serious, then that he was diagnosted emotionless and he emits more pheromones than anyone else in the family.
Add that Ashley was always convinced that Grayson was the most like Dominic, and actually thought the worst of him (I could give you examples, but that would be spoilers). We know that punishment was involved, phsysical? wasn't mentioned, but there are other ways. But Grayson was the one Ashley always focused on the most.
What i dislike about these kind of stories is how the author is trying to convince us ML loved the MC from the start and that he cant live without MC. But the author has no argument so instead we just had the uke constantly being attacked/kidnapped then saved by seme and seme getting hurt too.
So seme treated uke like thrash from start to end. It wasnt miscommunication or misunderstanding, it was the truth. But then we say "oh he just didnt realize his feelings" and proceeds with a ton of BS to "redeem" him.
The story doesnt even try to make sense and yet its so long, thats crazy.
Ikr, all the reasons were pure bullshit and doesn't even come remotely close to a "misunderstanding".
Like what excuse would you even have for letting your "friends" call your "beloved" partner a slut and a bootycall in his face. Ignore his injuries and plight and treat him like a fucking doormat for years-- because he's S H Y . Like, be for fucking real.
And because there IS NO real explanation for him being just a shit human being, his redemption was saving damsel in distress MC bajillion times like damn doesn't this mf MC learn to not get kidnapped and drugged at this point? ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I'm just waiting for this to end to see the conclusion, but it's definitely just dragged out without any purpose or actual plot.
Ian saying he dont want to go back to how things used to be..... I wonder what kind of BS the author will try to make up for Ian's suggestion. The dude has suffered for over a decade (?) In TJ's hands, and now he will go back with TJ but not how it used to be ? Couldnt he have done that sooner if that was an option ?
I mean yea this is my guess too but I still think its BS to bring nostalgia at this point of this story.
Seeing how far we are, if Ian still craves for TJ then he should just go for it.
Because at this point it feels like Ian would never be over TJ. So if he ends up with Jo its just sad for Jo. So might as well let Ian ruin the rest of his life with TJ, problem solved.
And then we could have a Jo side story where he finds true love (because im a sucker for happy ending).
It would be such a good story if Jo left Ian after this and lived his best life.
And Ian can continue living the drug/criminal/rape/violent life that comes with TJ.
Why dont we ever have a love triangle story with the uke getting the bad ending that comes with his choices.
Or atleast, a love triangle story where uke get rejected by one (if not BOTH) seme because he wont take any of them.serious.
I didnt read the story but i do have a general idea through comments but why are people calling the psycho as the MC's brother ? I thought MC and his dead husband adopted the psycho ?
SPOILERS
Minhyung (the psycho) harbors a twisted obsession with Yijae, the older foster-brother (MC) who raised him since childhood because Minhyung became an orphan after his parents died
He constructed an increasingly possessive bond, manipulating events so Yijae becomes dependent on him (it was so unhealthy to the point that Minhyung killed Yijae’s boyfriend to be his replacement instead and threatened to kill ppl whp got close to Yijae).

Sadley It feels like it's gonna be open ending for all the characters
Oh hell no pls don't scare me like this
WHAT
Its just my opinion, but its been like 9 years and there are ships for like all the characters but none of them has really sailed....
Even the lil top with the tall bottom that seemed like a couple at first...doesnt seem like much anymore.
Yeah I get you & it's been 12 years or more if I'm not mistaken, either way I hope that tall bottom LEAVES that blonde twink who's only using him cuz he look like his ex & Kashima freaking tops Toono already
