TJ is a walking reflection on how the past is a part of you and how you can’t escape it, because deep down you’ve become too complacent or attached to it. It’s really just, idk, kind of disheartening.

I think what happened is that Yumi’s friend was actually standing up for her, the guy must’ve done something, and then probably pushed them both. The friend’s spirit is mostly likely holding a grudge and has been haunting the ex-bf, which explains the salt. Call me fucking crazy idc but I think this story is leading up to Ian ending up with no one. I really feel that this story really highlights Ian’s own commitment to feeling in control of his own life. Jo and Ian have become variables which oppose his values. Yes even Jo guys ik that’s insane BUT HEAR ME OUT Jo is starting to show what Ian fears most, losing himself to someone, so not being in control. Ian has always been this romantically detached guy, having sex partners (always saying yes to sex with TJ despite their relationship being strained), but that’s because he’s coping with trauma. Of course he can heal, but ending up with Jo defeats that purpose, because Jo will always be there to remind him of himself. Jo in the simplest terms is losing himself over Ian. A TJ endgame automatically loses the meaning of independence because he’ll always have to be what TJ wants him to be, where, and when. I don’t understand how some people can’t see just how controlling TJ is because he’s afraid of losing Ian and the more he wants him the more Ian wants to escape that.
Pushing taegu in a love-triangle direction is a big mistake. He is the father-figure yeongwoon needed, now it’s all starting to get murky. I think it might be a misunderstanding of sorts. Taegu is already suspicious of seoin, he might be worried abt yeongwoon, but the whole “getting caught jerking off” scene sets off a whole other tone.
