I don't think there has been any hint indicating that fl liked kaito romantically. It's only from anji's pov, but even he admitted that everyone naturally admired kaito so it could be the same for fl. And the first few panels of the first chapter pretty much confirms this theory.
I would love to have a fl having a close non-romantic bond with a male character for once, even though he is not alive anymore.

Worry not, guys. This author also wrote Answer Me, My Prince. They have a habit of making it seem like their mcs will never get a happy ending together, but at the end they somehow manage to get it. I have faith in you, author-san, please don't let me down
Prince Julius and Princess Dayna totally stole the show for me. They're definitely one of the best side characters I have seen. As much as I wish that there was separate story about them, i feel like i wouldn't have found them this interesting if they were actually the mcs. It's the lack of screentime but strong significance that make them so special. Especially Julius. I have never been THIS crazy about a side character getting a happy ending. When this manhwa was still ongoing, I used to obsessively search for any crumbs of spoilers about him lol. I normally would've hated a character coming back from death, but I'm forever grateful to the author for bringing him back.

I just checked the official korean novel page for this manhwa, and it turns out that since the duke was so popular even among the korean fanbase, the author wrote a what-if side story where he’s the ML.
I think this gives us hope that maybe they’ll decide to make him the real ML in the manhwa version. But even if they don’t, at least we’ll still be getting SOMETHING.
Personally though, I’m still putting this on hold until it’s completed, just in case they DON'T give him a side story.

I was kinda hoping luce becomes the obsessive 2nd male lead who’s full of yearning. You know the handsome successful but giving of a loser kind of vibe that just grew up so hot it makes you double think about the crazy things he do, but still he’s not a male lead and just leaves you full of regret.
