He hasn't made fun of her or bullied her for no reason and isn't treating her excessively.
All he did was a background check and a risk assessment, and then told her it was ok as long as she fessed up to her employer. That's pretty lenient for a foreign stowaway.

One of the rare times I enjoy a 2nd couple's side story. It feels so organic, like its own little thing. It could be it's own story even.
The comments here and elsewhere are so different. People here simp for a gardener who barely appears and has no depth, and Juana isn't even interested. FYI the gardener pairs up with the Mermaid Princess (and they're cuter together).
I understand the prince is calculating, and isn't the pure soft babyboi mgg people want, but he's genuinely interesting, and is only in love with Juana. His behaviour the whole story makes sense as a hidden player.
the way i need to really learn my lessom on not reading mangago comments because this was how i got spoiled abt the prince lmao but im glad there was still another plot twist (like two) to hope for
Ikr. The whole reason I'm reading is cause the prince as ML is so interesting and a breath of fresh air from the stereotypical 'cold yet a sucker' for the FL types. They get relationship development. He is not what he seems on the surface and neither is she. There's such a lively, great dynamic between them.
I don't like stories where the ML falls for the FL fast and must do no wrong.
Lol, thos relationship isn't even toxic but I think many people don't like it when the guy doesn't pander to the girl completely or fall heads over heels for her.
If the story were about the gardener and FL, it would be a very different one, maybe exploring more of class differences and prejudice, and even then I would like a story that has a more three dimensional ML.
