There's so many redundant parts in this story. They keep making it seem like "oh an abusive love triangle is gonna happen, whoops I guess not, oh now it is happening" or "oh so there's gonna be a time skip, whoops I guess not, oh now there is one". It's not even like foreshadowing because it just feels like the author keeps starting storylines and then pausing them
It's just a series of strung together events that don't really affect the next one. Kinda disappointing considering that it's the author of Hate Mate, which did feel very tight narratively.

for example even if he didn’t say it explicitly, he was clearly affected by his mom dying & felt guilty about enjoying the day with ml not knowing what happened & then it’s just never mentioned again?
Or even how it's basically started like 3 different times. You think "oh it's a little dork and mysterious blonde" "oh it's this lady's weird brother being a predator in a triangle" "oh he's disappeared and there's gonna be a time skip" and none have planned out

It's like every sister or non immediate cast member in a bl who's a girl has the exact same purpose "oh my confirmed bottom boyfriend is into a woman, let's fight about it only for it turn out she's a lesbian". Just have them be lesbian from the get go and come up with another misunderstanding

The only manhwa I've seen a straight woman and a straight man as supporting characters are in cherry blossom after winter, my girl never cause a misunderstanding, she supported the mc and ml
this!! my biggest issue w bls is that the woman (whether gay or straight) is usually the cause of some misunderstanding, break up, or detrimental part to an arc re: life threatening event for an mc/ml. maybe i’m too woke but it’s interesting to have such a trope for women when most consumers of bls ARE women and femmes. and it hurts my heart when most of the comments are tearing down a female character in the story due to lazy writing.
Writing so ass they’re not even mad about the misunderstanding but what the misunderstanding is real af
Sometimes when I see a story that stinks and is bad in a gross way get a low rating, it gives me just a little hope
